Goodbye everyone! :o)

It is time to move on, as there is nothing more to share with the forum. I am about done with my mods, and what I will be finishing up on will not be of any significance to the forum.

Without further ado, I say thanks and fair well to the forum members who have assisted with wonderful info and courtesy.

Now I leave for ya to say good riddance, don't let the door hit ya in the arse, and go away, ya hoser! ;o) HA!!!

The whole point of forums like this is for experienced posters to share their knowledge with others, not just take knowledge for the own purposes.

In the short time that I've been here, I've spotted a couple (I'm sure there are many)of experienced posters who selflessly share their experience with others.

I'm sure they don't benefit from the exchange as much as someone like me and I appreciate that they stick around for when a new guy like me comes along.

Maybe you should reconsider?

Agreed. Since youve completed your mods, youre in a good position to help guys that just bought an Accord or are new to modding theirs. Forums like this are for learning more than anything. Might as well stick around and share what youve learned with others that are just starting down the road you traveled.

Irish wake, ech?

Thanks for all the glowing goodbyes!

I am not one for goodbye's and find amusement in having my arse kicked out the door.

Gosh, I do think the regs here know me better than what I am interpreting, as if everyone is miffed.

I will miss the forums and its members, just if I find anything new to share I will pop in if my account does not go poof.

As for abuse...

Ok I admit, I prolly abused the forum with my odd spelling and attempts to produce a general way to install the better and functional Acura IM setup on the VCM engine. It was a long process, though everything I shared can be done right with the info I provided. Unfortunately it does not deserve to be a sticky (I am OK with it), so it prolly will be lost some time in the near future.

All my mods were my own ideas to share as a member.

For those who are new or not around a year ago...

Full synthetic fluids, before peeps here started with over the counter or Honda's newer products. Believe me I was questioned about doing such a thing.

Reviving the MDX spacer installation for 8th gen.

A custom flush fitting and OEM look Oddy garnish install with lowered licence plate bracket. Some actually are running a variation on my design.

Strange ideas to add to the forum

Fixing alignment on hood and trunk with a penny as a shim.

Telling peeps who have VCM issues to check TSB's before fixing.

A mix mash of parts interchange, like the I4 hood rod install for a trouble free hood stay.

Last but not least adding my 2 cents to threads that needed some answers.

Thanks again everyone, it was a pleasure! Just because I am gone does not mean I may take a peek for ol times sake.

The TB is OEM, all I did was get cheap grade 5 studs and cut 1/2 inch of thread to be screwed into the existing TB flange holes on the IM, as fill in for Siamese holes to be drilled and taped. When properly centered there is enough clearance to mount the OEM TB along with one 3.7L and one 3.5L TB gasket with a custom metal gasket in between.

As the IM has a 3/4" TB spacer integral to the flange. So using a TB adapter would require using an SRI to fit to the TB. Since a TB adapter with MDX spacer would make using the OEM air intake tube difficult.

The full details is in my TLS-AWD IM install thread.

Why all the Drama?

If you aren't going to post, then don't post.

Making a post about leaving or not posting, is
