I have heard that conventional is the only way to go on a V6 Accord. True or False? Also when should you change out the transmission fluid. I have only had the car for about a month. So I was curious. The car is a 2007 by the way.
Thanks |

Trans should be done every 30k miles I think. Synthetic oil is fine to use and won't break down as fast as conventional oil.

I hear something about changing the ATF Filter also. It is not listed in the maintenance book tho. Any thoughts?

V6 AT filter is not serviceable like the I4 unfortunately. I have done more ATF flushes/ drain and fills with Amsoil full syn without any problems for 4+ years now. Not 1 complaint. Do'nt stress or worry about it brotha. They also make a flush you might wanna think about using too if you are going to pull the lines off and flush the whole system. Let me know if ya want anymore info.

If you're interested in changing your trans filter here's a good thread about it. The filter is serviceable on a 7th gen V6.
