Rear LEDs are on EX-L I4s and above.

Yep, at the bottom of both bumpers, the front one is almost like a splitter.

The TSX interior was a little snugger, as to be expected since it is a smaller car. The leather on the Accord is nicer than I remember on the TSX, seems thicker and more grained then I remember the TSX having. The electronics integration on the Accord EX-L is much better, the bluetooth for the phone is now fully integrated with the radio system. On the TSX Bluetooth was shown on the display inside of the speedo only, and all parameters were only adjustable via voice commands. My TSX had the Tech package, and the only advantages it had was NAV (which you can get on the Accord) and the ELS Surround system. I like the stereo on the Accord, however the ELS is phenomenal.

Still well padded, from the armrest on up.

Hey fw,

What's your thoughts on the 9th gen having that brushed carbon style trim on the interior? I got used to the wood trim and kinda liked it. Thought it gave a classy feel to it. Though on the flipside the switch to the carbon style trim gave a sportier look to the interior. Thoughts?

I like it, but I wouldn't call it carbon style. Still looks sorta wood-like to me, just much darker and more subtle. Not really sure what to call it.

Here are some detail pics:

Yeah it looked like a brushed carbon so I went with it haha. It looks great and I think it fits better then the traditional wood trim. Did you notice that when you have your car in park the white glow around the speedometer is white and when you put it in drive it turns green? I think it also turns red at some point like when you are at a complete stop.

Actually the glow around the speedo is an ECO indicator. Honda calls them Coaching Bars. If you are driving economically it's bright green, and goes towards white when you are driving uneconomically. Subtle but effective....

Great pictures! The exterior and interior of this Accord are really nice.

Question on the color: What is the difference between Modern Steel and the old Polished Metal Metallic? Difficult for me to tell just from photographs.

I saw it mentioned that Modern Steel has some reddish or lavender elements. Is this accurate? Is it lighter, darker, or about the same as Polished Metal? Polished Metal is kind of just a gray with metallic flakes.

Looks to me to be a shade lighter than Polished Metal, with just a touch of magenta that is more visible in the twilight or dark. The magenta is not visible in full sun.

Tail lights

[QUOTE=fw_fw;984842]Here are the taillight pics:

Congrats on your new car!

Could you please check and see if the tail lights mounted on the trunk lid right below the backup lamps are functional or just cosmetic? The salesman that showed me the EX-L that I test drove, was not able to make them light up...

I think it's a shame if they are just cosmetic...

Basically you would only have the red LED strip for driving lights and the red corner ones for braking.

Thanks!

They don't, I have another pic in this thread on page one that shows the brake lights only light up the fender mount and not on the trunk. Not uncommon for trunk "lights" to be fake, seen it on other cars....

Thanks, that was quick

That's what I was afraid of, still looks awesome.

Funny how both the LED strip and backup lights both mounted on the trunk are functional, but the other, bigger section is "fake".

Probably has something to do with some government regulation about taillights vs. brakelights lightoutput or size or something.....who knows, but like I said I've seen it on other cars as well....

Looks great. Thanks for these pix.

One area where I think the Accord has a small (to some) but very definite advantage over most of its competition is this: you can actually roll down the rear windows almost all the way. Because of how the Sonata, 2013 Fusion, 2013 Altima, etc. are designed, the rear windows only go down about halfway, which definitely makes the rear seat passengers kind of like second class citizens. Any chance of a photo showing the rear windows rolled down?
