PLEASE HELP 2005 Hybrid Vibration Noise

Its not the Audio issue I have read some complain about but more a speed issue with IMA in my opinion. I usually notice it between 30-50 mph and if I give it gas or tap breaks it stops for a short period only to come back. Some days it doesnt do it as much as others. It has done it on interstate as well. We called Economy Honda here in Chattanooga and talked to a guy that had been there 8 years and said has never seen anyone have issues with any of the V6 hybrids and vibration but went on to say there isnt many V6 hybrids in Chattanooga,Tn. I read where it could be motor/engine mounts because the IMA system is rough on them. ANYONE that has had this issue please share your outcome or what you learned.

Our car has 126,000 miles on it and has been a outstanding vehicle the first several months that we bought it (December 2011) this is only issue but its one thats not going away. Please share

I have this problem for may years without cure. It started after first 20k miles. Now my car has 165k miles. I have another problem with IMA too. Basically my IMA battery is deteriorated but car does not display any codes. The car uses IMA very seldom now and create vibration almost every time with IMA assist (ever slight assist create vibration).

my car does the same thing too only 104000km on it. i left my car with my local honda dealership for a week and they supposedly weren't even able to recreate it...a load of crap if you ask me. I've noticed it only does it when coasting but not even 25mph mine I've had it occur at around 15-20mph. Ive been trying to get honda to take a look at it properly for the past 4 years and even escalated it to honda canada which is why my car was left with honda for a week but they still weren't able to figure something out. drozzin you make a good point with the IMA batteries ill get them to take a look at those next time i take it in for oil change.

Hey, I'm new to this forum and am joining out of desperation. I have that vibration noise in my 2005 Accord Hybrid. It comes at all speeds, it seems---usually during deceleration or coasting. As soon as gas or the brakes are applied, it stops. One mechanic suggested that it might be the transmission, but I think what was offered in this forum might be more likely: IMA or motor mounts. Mine seems to be getting worse. Has anyone figured it out? Other than this, I love this car! I've had it since 2005 and currently have 86,000 miles on it.

I have this problem for many years and live with it. Join the club. Honda dealers have no clue and will not help with solution. They prefer not to see it (may be instructed to do so from AHM?). IMHO it is IMA motor.

Iv had been experiencing same for about 4 months now. Funny enough, the sound stops once you open any of your doors and sometimes when you shift your gear to the 'Neutral' position.

Been searching online for a solution but couldn't come up with anything promising.
However just this morning, i came across this video on YouTube by mongoliangana. Though i haven't tried it out yet but i think this (definitely) looks good.

I actually joined this group in order to share the link because i think it might work.

YouTube:

You guys might want to give it a shot. I will try it out once I'm back from work later in the day.

Cheers!

Search "honda accord hybrid harmonic drone".
Basically, it has nothing to do with any part of the engine or car. The noise is from your speaker.

I have the same issue with my 2005 hybrid. Instead of spending $500 to get it fixed, I've learned to live with it, because I only noticed the noise during the summer, and I can speed up or slow down just a little bit to get rid of the noise.

There are few types of vibration issues.

1) humming noise and short vibration is when car usually breaks.
This video is on you tube, it is about grounding one wire. (easy fix)

2) when electric motor engages or disengages some times you'll hear metal loud click. To test this look on your dashboard and when you see electric motor kicks in you will notice sometimes car will vibrate. It is not the transmission because if you disconnect the battery from IMA motor, you will have no vibration or when the engine is cold.

3) your caliper is rusted and not releasing breaks you will have the vibrations.
check your breaks and inspect your calipers.

4) your tires need new balance or you rim is damaged.
I had this problem when I was driving more than 60 mile

I have #2 problem not sure how to fix this problem, car was involved in the accident before perhaps this could be the cause. Is there anybody else who have this problems with IMA motor too? Did you car was involved in accident before are you 100% sure?
