Had to re-boot my audio system again today

This morning I plugged the new iPod in and took off only to hear a real mushy sound with a sort of high pitch frequency coming from the speakers. At first I thought it was the new iPod so I unplugged it and tried a different source but they all sounded the same - almost as if the speakers had blown. After turning the car off and on again all was well.

I wonder if the noise cancelling was out of whack or if the electronics for the stereo are just buggy. Nonetheless the audio may be the one part of the car (so far) that isn't ready for prime time???

This has happened to mine once. I've also had the iPod disconnect twice, also requiring a vehicle stop/start. My guess is we'll see an update to the audio firmware, hopefully soon.

The I-Pod is so unknown, I can see why Honda didn't try to figure out how to make it work, in the first place.

Had that happen yesterday while streaming bluetooth. Corrected with a shutoff. This is part of being the first year test group. Did you get your 1099 from Honda so you can get paid for being an early tester?

Depends. Last gen had Pioneer, and Clarion did some Civics, maybe Accords too.

Aye - at least it's not a critical function for the car!

I emailed my sales guy and asked him about it - I'll see what he gets back to me with.

So far that has happened to me twice. I also have a problem using my usb cable with the new iphone 5. My Hondalink seems to have a mind of its own, its is very selective when it wants to play or not. Tech support advised me to play it using bluetooth only for a while and see if that fixes it. 10 minutes after our conversation, using luetooth, hondalink cut out on me and said it was unable to connect after i had already been listening to it for 5 minutes. Im so sick of the audio issues I am having with this car already. Spend 32K for a Touring just to get to be a test mule.

Happened today. It sounded like a bad cell phone connection on the blurtooth but all sources had a static poor quality noisy sound.

I turned off the radio and it was the same.

I shut the car off and it fixed it. Problem is that I was sitting at a light and conveniently the light changed and I had horns blowing trying to get me to move. News Flash: Your car won't start if the gear selector is in drive

Mine says unable to conect while it is playing. They should have had a different default phrase like "connecting" which would put a lot of minds at ease.
(as long as it really connects, and so far mine has. I have only used Bluetooth for connecting.

Last night we're driving to dinner and I'm showing the wife how you can search for music on the iPod when the big screen goes blank. The music is still playing and I can switch audio sources but anytime I went back to the ipod the big screen was blank. Worked fine on the way home.

I hope they're able to update the software and resolve these issues or the support people are going to be very busy when they start to sell a lot of these cars.

All he said was that as an early adopter I was "part of a new focus group" - he didn't say anything about paying me

im thinking we all may need to bring this up if we all are having audio issues sometimes. it seems like there's some type of problem with the system one thing or another
