Hologram effect on paint after waxing

It all started 3 weeks ago when I took my car to get detailed and waxed. They first washed my car and then they came back to let me know that there were hard water spots and the only way to remove them was with compound and waxing. I left back to work and came back to get my car, it was about 6:30pm the car looked awesome, the next day I didnt see any problem as there was waxing covering what had happened. After a week of constant rain and dirt sticking to the car I notice waves on the paint. I friend of mine to me that the waves were cause by the machine they use to compound/wax the car. I returned back to the place to complain, they were no help I told them that they were the last to touch my car and that the wax was covering the garbage job they did. The only offer me $50 bucks back but now I have this issue. I would like to know how can I get this corrected. There's no hard damage to the paint. I'm in south florida does anyone know good place I can get this done correctly or does anyone here would like to make some cash. I hate seen my car like this.

The only way to correct it is to re do it with the proper pads and polish. Any good detailer can do this...In the right hands with a good pad, I'd use this:

Inexperienced people using a rotary buffer.

You'll need to get those holograms buffed out.

Maybe glen e can help you out. I think he might be in S. Florida somewhere too. Maybe.

EDIT>>>> speak of the devil....

It was the inexperience of the "detailer" and the use of a rotary polisher that caused the holograms. They can be corrected by someone with experience. You got burned by a hack, no two ways about it and they covered it up with a glaze. As glen said be prepared to cough up $200-$300 to correct it depending on the severity.

It seems most detailers are hacks. About 98% of them just want to bang out the job and get on to the next car. The top 2% want to bring out the best in each car and take their time. The good ones are worth their weight in gold. Most dealerships and car washes don't have good detailers on their staff.

David Fermani on autopia does good work. Just plug his name into the search feature on the site. Pretty sure he's in your neck of the woods.

+1 on the hack rotary job.

+2 for Glen E's recomendation on Menzerna's. I use PO85RD Ultimate Finish however...Glen, and comments on the difference between the two?

Also, FWIW, stick with microfiber towels. I know you said a detailer did this, but I'd imagine it's going to inspire you to start detailing your car yourself. A lot of towels can leave marks. Hell, when I dry my car I use a leafblower when I can so nothing touches the paint (the clearcoats are SO soft, anything seems to swirl it right back out). Otherwise, it's a waffle weave microfiber I rest on the paint and slowly glide off...no rubbing.

Lastly, ask around in Autogeek. I have no experience with Autotopia (that's not me saying not to use them) but from the forums on Autogeek, it seems they're heavily populated down in SoFla...pretty sure that's even the HQ of Autogeek.

Probably the worst color you could have picked if you don't wash/detail the car yourself. Don't let those hacks touch the car or it is going to be swirl city!

Look into things like CQuartz and OptiCoat....they're like supplimental clearcoats and will provide a lot of protection for a long time.

Rediculous...you can....and should.....use power on everythingto get consistency and quality.....you just need to use it the right way.

New cars are no diff than older cars, they come with swirls or dirty paint, and need to be cleaned and polished.
