thanks,

fyi, the sedan has the 2 latch points that go on the sides of the seat, but there is no point to attach it forward

makes sense?

LATCH (lower anchors and tethers
for children) at the outer rear seats.
The lower anchors are located
between the seat-back and seat
bottom, and are to be used only with
a child seat designed for use with
LATCH.
The location of each lower anchor is
indicated by a small button above the
anchor point.

Lift the head restraint (see page
), then route the tether strap
through the legs of the head
restraint and over the seat-back,
making sure the strap is not
twisted.
Attach the tether strap hook to the
tether anchor, then tighten the
strap as instructed by the child
seat maker.

Taken front page 42 of the 09 coupe manual. There is a bunch more, but I hope this helps.
There is also LATCH points under the rear headrests covered with trim pieces.
BTW the only pics I see with the latch system used are front facing type car seats.

that 3rd point isn't going to go over the kids head towards the rear parcel tray and latch there. that place is there for forward facing carseats and is the 3rd contact point, but not rear facing.
