Hello
In my country 205/60R16 (typical for accord) tires are not so popular.
So, they are more expensive (about 50%) than typical (in Poland) 205/55R16
I would like to ask, what are You thinking... are they not so small ??
Maybe somebody have 205/55R16 and can show me the photos, how are they looks.
I can buy Toyo Proxes T1-R 205/55R16 91 W

This tire is unfortunately less diameter about 1 inch (campared with nominal) - it's a lot - i think

second: are 215/55 they o'k for typical honda rim ??

Regards
Jack

I have 215/55/16s on my 2000 Accord with 16x6.5 Honda rims. Stock size was also 205/60/16. 215 width tires were standard on the USDM 06-07 V6 Accords with 6.5" rims, so you can definitely put 215 tires on your rims.

Here is a comparison of different tire sizes:
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
205/60-16 4.8in 12.8in 25.7in 80.7in 785 0.0%
205/55-16 4.4in 12.4in 24.9in 78.2in 811 -3.1%
215/55-16 4.7in 12.7in 25.3in 79.5in 797 -1.5%
215/60-16 5.1in 13.1in 26.2in 82.2in 771 1.8%

Here were wrote, that the rims are 17 in 3.0 V6 :dunno:
But You are right 215 is 215.
I hope, that 215 are not to wide, and don't stand out behind the car.

Only the 6-speed manual transmission cars have the 17" rims, I believe.

The earlier models (03-05) also have 7" wide rims, vs. the 6.5" wide rims of the 06-07 V6 models.

What is the highest sidewall I can run on my car? I have the stock 17inch V6 wheels. The ride is harsh. My car is not something I would want to take on a trip from my home in Seattle to Miami for example.

My 2014 Accord has 205/65/16 tires, but I have some 205/55/16 snows; besides inaccurate speed readings is there any other danger to mounting these tires?
None what so ever.

But did you realize this is the 7th Gen forum? You have a 9th Gen Accord. :)
