Sport lights at night

The Sport doesn't have led drl's like the v6, but what does it have in place of the led drl at night? When I turn my headlights on I noticed that there is a line under the headlights that look awesome on both sides.

You know what I mean though. They look like the led drl's with the dots. But just yellow instead of white.

Yeah it's just a peanut bulb in the corner that reflects throughout. Instead of going crazy with all the led strips and stuff like some have I just put a led peanut bulb in there and it does the trick. It's white throughout instead of the ugly coloring of stock bulbs.

The DRL on Sport and LX models is just the high-beam at low power.

For our parking lights (strip), find a good T10 LED bulb and replace the stock parking light bulb...

That's awesome! How hard was the install on the led bulb?

You can reach in there, twist and pull to remove the socket. Or, you can remove the fender liner and reach your hand in there.

I saw a post somewhere about some of the LED bulbs slightly burning/melting the bottom of the housing due to heat. Any issues so far?

No issues with my parking strip LEDs. As far as the DRL low-power high beams, I pulled the DRL fuse - still allowing me to use my high-beams when needed.

LEDs emit little or no heat. I highly doubt this is accurate. Your stock halogen puts out more heat.

That looks good

When I was test driving the sport, I parked in front of some stores to see the lights and I couldn't get the strip (parking lights?) to come on. Are they only on the v6's and you have to add them or what? I really like the way they look and I'd like to make them look white and bright like yours, but just making sure of which ones have it before I buy the '13.

Thanks for clarifying. I was referring to this thread I saw a couple of days ago and it got me wondering. I think it's mainly because of cheap eBay ones.

If LED emits little to no heat.. then why is there giant heat sinks on high power LED? Or even fan cooled LED... lol
