Questions about 08 v6 coupe..
So I had a 2006 S2000 and a stupid drunk driver smashed into it when it was parked on the side of the road. After some thought, I've settled on getting the 2008 Accord V6 coupe 6MT. I went to my local dealer, same place I bought the S2000, and he told me a few things that I just didn't beleive....
1. The 08 6MT coupes wont be out or available until late december. 2. They will be selling at MSRP, no exceptions. 3. Its impossible that people in the US have the 6MT coupe already. I live about 30 miles outside of NYC, in an affluent area...there should be a market for the coupes around here. but none of the local dealers within 30 miles say they have a 6MT Coupe....SO Where are they? Cliff Notes: I want an 08 6MT coupe by Dec 1st the latest. Is this possible/what should I do? Thanks guy |

Hey, I will try to answer your questions the best I can.
Answer 1: I actually thought that the 08 manual 6 speed was out already but I may be wrong there. Answer 2: You may be able to get it a tab bit lower then MSRP but they are selling pretty good right now so I don't think they have much movement in price for them right now. Answer 3: It isn't impossible for someone to have one in the Us at this time, there might just be a few floating around by special request but besides that it is like finding a needle in a haystack for 6mt. Cliff Note Answer: When you do order one it doesn't take very long to get it. I highly recommend getting one built in the factory. That way you know that you were mostly the only driver driving it and when buying new might as well. It took me about 4 weeks to recieve mine when quoted 1 month, however it depends on the demand in your area for when you will get it. Just to let you know it was a auto. Hope that helps! |

1. they are out, my dealer has, or now had, at least one on the lot.
2. that dealer might not sell them for less than msrp, but others will. 3. wrong. just because they haven't gotten/sold one yet, doesn't mean squat.

2. That is dealer dependent. 3. There is one at a dealership here. I sat in it.

1. The 08 6MT coupes wont be out or available until late december.
IF you looking for a 6MT with NAVI, then YES those are LIMITED and only a few come in the whole state. in GA we got a Handful (only 6 MT NAVIS) and a few NON NAVI V6 ones. 2. They will be selling at MSRP, no exceptions. TRUE because the Coupes only make 10% off the total honda sales, and then the 6 Speeds MTs are 10% of that and of that 15% only come with NAVIS! So it is a very limtied production car! I doubt if anyone would discount this car off the bat, but hey you can always negotiate FREE accessories even if paying MSRP! 3. Its impossible that people in the US have the 6MT coupe already. I just got mine yesterday on Nov 3d a EXl V6 6Speed NAVI Blk/Blk... ________ R3 |

I'm not doggin' the ad, I'm just saying everyone should realize that he probably doesn't have a V-6 6-Speed Coupe in-stock. Hey, if you don't have it then you can price it as low as you want! The price is going to be at or VERY near MSRP on these units, as well they should be. As an employee, and on the last day of an abysmal month, I got mine for $900 less than MSRP. Not bad at all considering it's the only one in my 5-state region. Paying MSRP is NOT a bad thing...if the product is worth it. And believe me...this one is worth every penny.

and YES the Coupe 6Speed NAVI is worth every penny. I've seen some dealers mark it up $3000 over MSRP because they know its a LIMITED prodction car and has the potential to make money. ________ medical marijuana |
