That's pretty nice! Great work!

There's a guy that was able to restore a pretty bad paint job. I think RTexasF may have linked to it in the past..

did someone say 'paint correction' ?

detailing at it's best...

^^^
takes a bit to load, but worth it...direct link to it was saying that the forum was temporarily down...so i 'wayback'ed it.

i'm sure this has been linked to before, but it deserves it again and always sparks up a debate about what detailing is really worth at the highest level... I believe their is a youtube video out there about this guy as well.

I'd like to get my car fully professionally done at some point. - Does anyone know what a REALLY good detail usually runs? My car not anything near dirty, but I'd like things buffed and what not. No fading or major swirls that I've found. I figured something like 250+ for a shampoo/steaming of the interior, getting all the crevices, then washing, and detailing the exterior. I know some of you are detailers. What are you charging?

Thanks for sharing the pics, I like that TSX and the XC90 the best. Two of my favorite cars.

No time to look right now but I can only assume the video you posted is of Paul Dalton.. he can fetch $10k for a detail that I think he says is 61 steps or something like that and takes a week..

Dont get me wrong, the guy has skills BUT he also hired a VERY talented PR machine that got him to where he is... main difference between him and a skilled detailier are the cars he works on and his PR machine..we have actually chatted via PM and lets just say he is very candid

Depending on your market you may be able to get it for $250... I began charging $30 and hour, as I became more efficient I didn't change the way I quoted but as I said became more efficient and that $30 hr increased to $40... once I master the rotart I will be at $50 hr... really depends on the economy of your location

PR & Networking ... he definitely has both going for him ..the link is actually to a post about the Bugatti Veyron that was driven by Top Gear's James May for a segment and the current owner had treated the beautiful oem paint pretty poorly (considering the price tag of the car) ... many pics inside of the paint correction by Mr. Dalton.

He does some amazing job!! I wish I can treat my Accord better but I just do not have the time anymore since I work 7 days week and school 5 days week. Back in my college days, I spend anywhere between 3 and 5 days to detail my car, a '96 Explorer Eddie Bauer. One good thing about that truck is that the paint is tough and fairly chip resistant. Here's a few pics of my work back then:

Don't want to steal his thunder, he's definitely better than me. lol.
