Intermediate bearing sheild noise?

Princess,
Is there a bulletin associated with the image you posted in my last post regarding the chassis noise?

Now that I fixed that one, I have a sometimes very loud screechy hissing sound only when accelerating in the mentioned rpms in the picture. The harder I accelerate, the louder it is.

It's been more noticeable in the cooler days, engine temp doesn't seem to play into it, or trans temp for that mattter.

I'm hoping it's not the trans (6 speed), I only get the noise in 3, 4 and 5. It's especially noticable in 4th. And only in the rpms mentioned. It can be heard inside better, but it is audible from outside as well. (windows down)
I want to eliminate simple stuff, before I have the car torn into. ( I really hope not)

If it isn't a bulletin, is there a part number for an updated shield, or is there something that has to be done to the old one to stop it?

Thanks for any help.

If it is the heat shield, they don't list any other articles or bulletins about it.

I found a part #, but you'd be best off to call to see if it's for your car & if it's been changed at all from the original.... they put the parts info in a different area & my access is limited!!

The # I found is: P8-97253-313-0
Honda code: 6462564

If you tell the parts dept the #, they can look it up for you.... Try to call during a time you think they'd be less busy.... you may find them more helpful!
