Driving with expired temporary license plate?

Ok my temporary license plate was expired on 30th last month and I do not have the permanent one in my hand at this time. It was delivered to my home address in houston and it's on its way to me so hopefully I'll receive it by friday.
The question is will I get pulled over for having a 3 days-expired temporary license plate? I really need to drive this car tommorow and I usually see 1~2 cops on my usual route. Anyone has experience?

The best thing I would say is to be EXTRA careful to make sure that you do NOT attract any attention to yourself. If, for some reason, you do get pulled over, just explain to the officer your story. Stuff like that happens...

They don't mess with you here until your 30 days out. Then they all mess with you. Not to mention the issues with added tag, tax and title penalty's.

Absolutely - best advice. In MA, purchase contract is one's temporary registration until final copy comes from registry.

In Houston I see cars with temp plates 30 days out all the time!. I would say as long as you have your insurance card (It has your car's VIN) you'll be just fine.

It's common here... in fact there's a Civic that's parked in my driveway every night that's about 6 months over due. He'll only use it for work now. I think it's just an excuse to drive the Accord more!

There were craking down here in IL on that. It used to just be a sticker with marker written it well people would just replicate them and write whatever they wanted them. Also cars were getting stolen and then using those temp stickers.

They finally changed the style and shortened the dates by quite a bit. It was 3 months or so with the old stickers, now it is one.

Not that it helps the OP, but in GA I drove my brand new 05 Spec V (back in 05) with a Sunbelt Nissan dealer tag and no proof or anything (even insurance...lol) for almost 6 months. I drove like a bat out of hell and never got messed with. I would just be extra careful
