What is your Trunk Spring Setting?

I recently had my car repaired from a rear end accident. Yeah, some of you already know this. When I posted the finished pics, I mentioned that one of the problems I had was that the trunk did not open as much as it did originally. BenjiBoy650 brought to my attention that the springs had adjustment positions to increase or decrease the pressure for the lift. I had a look and sure enough, I see the adjustment. On each side, their are two slots for the spring to sit in. So, my question is to everyone, if you don't mind looking, what is your settings. My car has the wing spoiler. Thanks for your assistance.

Both towards the front no wing. I put them there so the trunk would pop open a little more when I hit the button.

How did you move the springs? Vice-grips?

^Those are heavy duty trunk springs, princess. They came with your OEM wing. I bought a set for my car. I just need to install them. Somehow. My stock trunk springs aren't strong enough to hold up the lid and HustMat in either setting.

The spring tool is such a simple looking thing.... I looked at a few tool places & I can't find one.

I'm not sure where mine is set. I do know that when I bought my Accord the trunk spring wasn't set correctly. It would barely pop open, and if you weren't parked on a level surface or with the front end of the car lower than the back end, the trunk would come crashing down on you and try and behead you. It happened to me and my friend, Art. Took it into the dealership for several little things, and they fixed it. Yay for free stuff!

Hopefully, you've figured out the proper setting now. (Sorry, I'm not going outside to look right now, it's cold out there.)
