Buying in Northern VA/DC/MD - 08 EX-L V6 - experiences

Last month I bought an 08 EX-L V6. I started by going to Edmunds and getting price quotes for 8 dealers in northern VA and southern MD.

The spread between high and low out-the-door quotes was nearly $3000. Coming in at the most expensive, as usual, was Fairfax Honda at $32,650. The lowest was Herson's Honda in Rockville, MD ($29,800) - where I ended up buying. I highly recommend Maggie, the internet sales rep there: this was a no surprises transaction.

On another note, avoid Shockley Honda. Rafik, the internet sales guy at Shockley Honda in Frederick, MD, had a very good price quote initially. After going back and forth with him via email and telephone a couple of times, where I always re-confirmed model and specs, he decided that "oops I meant that was price for the 4 cylinder." I wrote a detailed email to the sales manager, including copies of all previous correspondence showing the model and price quoted, and heard nothing back from him.

Thumbs up leesburg, va

I bought my used 02 accord ex v6 at Leesburg Honda and, I gotta say, I was very satisfied with my final price and the manner in which it was reached. I definitely reccomend checking that place out if you're looking around. Ask for Wayne. He was really down to earth, not pushy at all.

Bought my 4 Dr at Laurel Honda. Herson's was competitive but they were not willing to deal (back in mid January) Since then I have gotten emails saying $500 off the original quote, etc.. they still would not have beaten my deal. Did you buy a 4Dr? With or W/O Navi? I still have the emails somewhere but I bought my 4 Dr W/O Navi for $27K out the door. I think the Navi was $28500 OTD (They both included wheel locks, pins stripes, mud flaps, fender/door edge molding, body molding and sunroof visor).

I am guessing with the pricing, the car the OP bought was the Navi..................

I went to Heritage Honda in Parkville almost 2 weeks ago to pick up my 2008 Accord Coupe EX. Got it for around the MSRP for a LX. Not sure of the salesman's name, since I just sat there and waited to drive her away. (I'm still only 18.)
