USB interface on 2009 Honda Civic!!!!

Here is the new 2009 Civic. It has a USB instead of AUX input. You can plug in most mp3 players with a USB.

Here's a pic of the Exterior. It has new grill, wheels and redesigned headlights.

Anyways,

I found a few adapters with a USB interface.

I don't have an IPOD and will never buy one! I have a creative .
Do you think a creative will fully function with these adapters? I want to be able to use the steering wheel controls and also see the titles on the screen. Thanks for the input guys!

I know that iPods and flash drives are compatible.

The manual for my godmom's 2009 Fit explicitly states that.

If your thing (snobbish iPod user here) operates like a harddrive/flashdrive then it should work. (As in it has a file system)

Probably the '10 or the facelifted Accord would have it. I would have assumed that the new generation would have it...

Ok cool thats good to know. After seaching a bit more, i found this one that i believe will be perfect for 08 Accords! It's also bluetooth compatible. You can stream music from your cellphone to the stereo. Your speakers can be used for calls as well!

I still think all of these aux' input converters / USB adapters / etc' will not display the titles of the songs, folders, or other info' (on our 8th gen' Accord's OEM head-unit). Only benefit is ever-so slightly better sound-quality (vs. using the remote aux' input-jack), and the ability to use the head-unit & steering-wheel controls to toggle your music. Oh, also the Bluetooth add-on might be nice for some.

I've been doing A LOT of research lately into all these things (ie. Blitzsafe, PIE, PAC, Soundgate, xcarlink, etc'), and none of them will display the song-titles, artist names, folder ID's, and so forth. . .

Ya, that is the real problem with these, they don't display file info on the screen.

but they do charge the devices at the same time and the signal will be far cleaner then a headphone jack, which we all know can have issues...

I think they are a good addition, sad I didn't get one on my 09 accord coupe...
