quick question...

so i wanna get an exhaust chrome tip for my muffler...should i get one that welds on or are there some i can clamp on or something?

OEM one is not secure - if you are going to get one, make sure you weld it on.

i used the red threadlocker. it seems to be holding pretty well for now.

i dont plan on EVER taking off the exhaust finisher... maybe i should have it welded...

would JB weld work?

If you have to take it to a shop to get it welded, a clamp on one will be cheaper. The tip on my truck is just clamped on and it has stayed on through three years of off-roading.
