Honda Service Rep incorrect?
Hello all-
I just got off the phone with Honda Service...they told me that it is okay to do an ATF flush at 30k...from what Ive read here though, a flush is NOT recommended....I was going to to a fluid drop and refill...3x over the course of the next 3 weeks. What do you guys think? |

Depends on a flush. IIRC, Honda's definition of a "flush" is drain/refill 6 times.
Flush machines - if you start early and do it often (i.e. - every 30 k) - there is very little chance of harm being done because tranny is kept clean. I did 3x changes on my Accord at ~35K and will do 1 drain once per year to keep things fresh. Same plan for power steering fluid. I also installed Magnefine filter on AT, probably will do the same for PS.
