nice mod

will post pics when my car is completely done to my satisfaction. i've been lurking around accord forums for a long time, but im a quite one. i have an 04 accord sedan nighthawk EX with some mods. car should be done July 18/05.

im only posting now, and one last time later when my car is done, b/c the TSX mirror mod really caught my eye. I have the honda inspire mirrors on my car, which yes, they do signal, and yes they do have the blue tinted mirror, and yes they do POWER FOLD. my side mirror defrost button has been modded to be my power folding button. i've had these mirrors installed on my car for about 6 months now.

some guy made an attmept to install these on a coupe. and it obviously didnt work out b/c he never posted again. he was really c-cky

list of mods i have on my 04 accord

-kaminari kit
-no emblems on back all shaved including the "H"
-custom grill (with mesh) that takes place of that stupid H in front
-JDM power folding/signal mirrors
-18" tenzo R rims, kumo tires
-Hid kit 6000K (headlamps) Hid Kit 8000K(fog lights) [McCulloch]
-projector headlights with chrome housing (angel eyes but i dont use em)
-super white piaa led bulbs in the side door panel
-changed the side sills to shiny accord ones
-blue lights under both front seats (all wires hidden), so my feet glow blue at night just like the RL
-neuspeed front strut bar
-injen cold air intake
-10" sub JL rockford amp

the only thing that gets me mad is that i cant lower my ride. the weather really ****s here. its snows alot. nuff said.

btw. i know listing mods are meaningless if you dont got pics to prove. they'll come later when my car is done. but for now check my avatar of my mirrors.

thanks for your time

see you all later.

Those mirrors and the whole car looks beautiful. The TL wheel just finishes it off beautifully for me, I love wheels

You can lower the car, I know plenty of people who do it and they use winter tires for a good while too. Just do coilovers with adjustable height.

Bascially the way I got it to work is I used the interior of the accord mirror in the TSX shell. This mod is not as simple as the 4 door. There is a lot of dremeling to get this to work. The reason I used the accord interior is because the TSX shell component wouldn't sit in the accord side mirror holder(this is the part that doesn't swivel), I wired the light to the talilight. I didn't wire it to the engine because I didn't want honda to see it and try to void the warranty if something happened. I do plan to take more pics I will try and post once I finish my finals from summer school.

when you say the accord "interior", meaning the swivel motor mount right? Did you dremel the tsx shell?

Which color wires of the leds go to which color wire of the taillight? I think i have a clear sense of what you did now. All i have to do now is start dremeling.

Yup the swivel mirror, the mirror still swivels, I still can't figure out that mechanism. The TSX mirrors are made of 2 parts, first is the shell second it is a plastic inside piece, I tried to add a pic of the acura mirror from a parts webiste but it didn't happen but I had to dremel the innter pastic piece where the srews go in, and I alos had to dremel the mass of the accord base, it is different from the honda. If i'm able to to attach pics I will update the thread.

Update
Here is the honda pic, the mirror holder and the base is what I took from the Accord, and also the part I circled is what I dremeled, so the mirror holder can look similiar to the TSX and fit in the base

The blue is the inner cover I had to dremel and the red is just showing the the mirror holder and base that I had to swap from the accord, I will try to take more picsm but for me to do so I have to take the mirror apart which will take time

In the TSX mirror there are 2 wires coming straight from the LED I don't know the color but you will see them, the mirror itself slants on an angle but the shell on the car is straight, I will post those pics tomorrow to show you what I mean.

now that the disappointing accord hybrid with the so-so gas mileage is out, wouldn't it be better to use their side mirrors instead. i mean it's not a light on the outside fixture like the TSX, but it's still good right? it's just little LED lights that light up on the mirror, like the ones i see on the OC buses or GM suvs. am i right, or do the hybrids have a light on the fixture...

I don't think so, the hybrid is still made in japan which means the side view mirror fixture is like the euro accord which is still like the TSX. And it still is similiar like the TSX they really didn't change it
