Carnauba wax & sealant question?
I was wondering, after washing, claying, polish, seal( w/ klasse sealant glaze), and wax with collinite 845. It should protect my car up to atleast 5months right? In the mean time what I should I use to was the car during the six months period? I don't want to was my car every six month but I want to wash it weekly. But if I was it weekly than I use wash all the effort and protection I put on it, isn't that a waste? Oh btw I order some WP and I read some in this form the it's remove all the wax on there to. What should I use/do/how to maintain it? Thank you for your respond.
P.S hopefully I don't get 100 views and 1 or 2 respond. I know it a dumb question but I just have to ask.

You should be good for close to 5 or 6 months, but it can't hurt to apply another coat of collinite after about 3 months.
Normal washes using a mild detergent will work fine. Everyone has their favorite soap, but I would recommend Duragloss 901 which can be picked up at carquest. Megs gold class is also pretty good stuff. If you want to buy online, I like http://www.autogeek.net/meguiar-s-hyper-wash.html You can also get a quick detailer to give the car a little extra pop. Only use a QD AFTER the car has been thoroughly washed. It may also be beneficial to invest in a foam cannon such as I would also pick up some quality microfiber drying towels. I prefer http://danase.com/Microfiber-Towels/...ourer-p31.html over all other I have tried, although I still do use waffle weaves. |

The WP will remove whatever protection you already have, so it's not worth it to use in your case (but you could use it on your windows and the water will slide right off in the rain).
Check out these threads on proper washing techniques: http://www.autopia.org/forum/detaili...technique.html IMO the easiest way to wash a car is with Optimum No Rinse. Here's some info about that: http://autopia.org/forum/car-detaili...here-mine.html http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-det...ve-thread.html

Wash it as you normally would. With sealant and Collinite you're good to go. I doubt that Wet Paint would remove the Collinite, it's really tough. To state the obvious use car wash soap and leave the Dawn in the kitchen.

best thing to do bro is find a detailers products distributer and set an account up with them, you will find products that are way better than whats out there to the general public. from soaps to glazes, and everything, special tools, any kind of buffing applying or polishing pads for orbital buffers.. i have an account with a guiy near me and i buy everything by the gallons and it last forever, everything is so concentrated..

use collinate first, than use a mixture of nu finish, mothers carnuba wax and a really good glaze you can get this will fill in all swirl marks and i mean all.. than once thats on, go out and get yourself a good polish and every month, just hit it with a 10 inch orbital buffer and your good to go for awhile, your car will look like glass guaranteed. with the buffer you will have the car done in 20 to 30 min tops. just make sure you mix those three products i mentioned, i know you people may think im crazy, but im telling you, nothing works better, the mothers power ball is a very good polish to use to.

A great product to use in btwn full details is: http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=272 Duragloss #951 Aquawax.
The AW will help boost your protection and give a deep gloss look to your finish.

What? You can't even spell Collinite correctly. Why should someone trust your suggestions..........which are absurd??

Does the klasse sealant glaze any good. Will it povide a deep wet look that I'm looking for? If not, what other brand would you recommend? And in the mean time, I don't have to apply any wax or anything with my next wash? Cause I just washed and did a full detail with klasse AIO, klasse sealant than top it with collinite 845.

Klasse SG can be layered but not if you have topped w/845.
Wait 24HR between layers on KSG then top with your fave LSP. I have been using Klasse products for 5 yrs and have been very happy. It is my go to for VAN and SUV roofs... Hey RTF.. I feel your pain amigo...... Redundancy and disinformation can be so frustrating at times ... Hang in there Bro I1

Collinite 845 is quite durable (mostly polymers with some carnauba added, FYI), but I don't know if it will last 5 months if it is out in the Carolina sun during the daytime. I would add another layer after 2 months if it is in the sun.
If you want the deep wet look, you might try topping with Danase Wet Glaze, looks great on our car and lasts a while. |

New to the forums here. Anyway, don't know if you have ever heard of Hi-Temp. I have a few friends who detail cars and its a hobby of mine and their products are reasonablely priced and highly effective.

Hi-Temp is aimed at body shops and quantity over quality detail shops. The line is okay and they have a few that are quite good but better products are available for the do it yourself folks.
Your post sounds a bit spammy to me, pardon me if I'm wrong........odd first post.
