Ok need new tire and sort made decision?

I have the 03 4dr accord sdn. and U all know how much the oe tire was loved those michle (****ed). It ****ed in wet weather and dry pavement stopping too once there was at least 30k on them. So time to replace them at 44K. I also salmost spun out into trees tonight going 35 on winding road.

So I need tire here in the NE (pa) for snow, wet, and dry. I have decided between the Goodrich traction TA or the goodyear assurance triple tred. I am looking for a good tire for the above conditions. I have gone onto tirerack and looked at tires and these are the two I like. I need to know if anyone else has an opinion on the good yr, since I have had the BF goodrich on my other cars and sort of like them. They did get a little loud once they wore down, had a (prism) and do not know if that played into it too?

Also do I want to play around with getting alittle wider tire for better grip right now have the 205 65 15's. If i did what size would i ask about? I would be keeping my stock wheels.

Wider tire = better grip dry / worse grip snow.

Traditionally, I'm a Michelin guy. I actually like the S8's that came on my '05 LX - but I also run dedicated snow tires here in NH, so I have slightly different requirements. Basically, Michelin doesn't have a good tire that meets all of your criteria.

But here's a suggestion that I have had experience with. Both my dad and my sister have recently used Bridgestone Turanza LS-H and LS-T tires on their cars and been very happy overall. I'm pretty picky about the quality of tires (from a manufacturing process), and Bridgestone comes about the closest to Michelin in terms of that aspect. The tread design (expecially on the LS-T) does very well in the snow and gives a good ride with decent handling. If you look at the grand touring all-season tire reviews on TireRack, you can see all the variants of the Turanza LS line rate very high.

That'd be my $.02 on this one...

Ok, so I'm going to totally ignore your brand of choice and make a suggestion.

All I can say is look at the price, and the reviews. I run that tire on my other car, and will run them on my Accord when the current tires wear out.

I work for Goodyear, and the Assurance Comforttreads rock! Quiet and smooth riding! I still have the OE Michelins w/ only 300 miles on them! Too bad Im in Hawaii, you could've bought them from me!

Unlike the other posters, I will respect your narrowed down choices, and add my 2 cents worth

I don't know anything about the Goodrich, but I have seen favorable comments on another board about them. They are probably cheaper (Costco?)

Personally, I am leaning toward the Assurance ComfortTred and TripleTred when i upgrade for my '04 V6. I was at my local Goodyear dealer last week, and asked for his input on these 2 tires. He said the TripleTred was geared toward performance, while the ComfortTred was more for ride quality. His personal choice for the Accord was the ComfortTred, but he did say they are both excellent tires. I think they have an 80k treadwear warranty too...
