Non-Accord 15" Alloys on a 7th Gen LX

OK - on my never-ending search for a set of alloys for my 15" michelins (to free up my 15" steelies for snow tires), I finally landed a set of new Honda wheels to put on the '05 Accord LX. They fit great, ride like a dream, and look pretty good. Check out the attached picture and tell me if you like 'em or not, and whether you can tell what vehicle they're an accessory wheel for (yep, quiz time!)

I opted (again) for this 15" route due to finances. The cost of a set of 16" takeoff accord wheels was $500 at least plus shipping, and if I went TSX takeoffs it'd be even more. So for a little over $200 I got these. I'm pretty happy!!!

andy

ps - put a set of Viking Stop 5000 H-rated snows on the steel wheels while I was at the tire shop - $67 each out the door. They're rated pretty high in Europe and made in the UK, so we'll see how that goes.

I think they look good! I'm gonna just guess that they're from a Prelude.

CR-V Accessory wheels

Nope - not a Prelude. Ok - they're the accessory wheels from a CR-V. If you go to www.handaccessories.com and look under the first gen CR-V you'll find them. They want $99 each - a Honda dealer on eBay is asking $229 "buy it now" for all 4, new in the box. I think he has more, and can dig up the auction number if anyone's interested.

I figured out that they were from a CR-V lol. They look kinda like the JDM Ody wheel.

That guy has some GREAT deals. If those Prelude alloys weren't painted red, I'd snatch up a set. There's a 01-02 MDX wood/perforated leather wheel on there too for what $180? It fits 6th gen Accords, and it's $400 new

Also note center caps cost money! They'd probably ask you for 50 bucks if you wanted those center caps from the dealer.

The other place that has great deals at times is Baldwin Auto Parts. I just got a new lip spoiler for my 05 LX for $180 plus shipping - new in the box. For those with a pilot that are into "bling", he's got a set of new bumper garnish for like $265 at this link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BUMPE...QQcmdZViewItem

Once you find a dealer or two that does business on ebay, you can occasionally snatch up a great deal!

PK - if you mean the wheels that I1 just bought, look at the picture at the top - it's an 05 LX with those exact wheels - fit like a charm.

One other note -there's a lot of mis-information on the web about center bore size, and it would lead one to believe that the old V6 Accord 5-lug has a larger center bore than the current ones. Here's the deal - if it's a 5-lug Honda/Acura, it's a 64.1mm center bore - with only 1 exception, and that's the 2nd generation Acura Legend, which for SOME reason has a 70.3 mm center bore......

OHH Yeh..LOL

Nice Color Too.

I got a little confused after reading this in a current auction:

"THIS IS A GENUINE HONDA 15" 5-SPOKE WHEEL KIT. THEY ARE ABLE TO FIT ALL 5 LUG ACCORD, CR-V, PRELUDE, CL, RL AND TL MODELS UP TO 2004. THEY COME AS A SET OF FOUR WITH THE CENTER CAPS. THEY ALSO HAVE HONDA "H" ON EACH CENTER CAP SO YOU KNOW THEY ARE GENUINE HONDA.

2004??????????

Thoughts?

PK

They will fit a 2004 but this auction is already closed
Don't know how many sets he had but unfortunately the well appears to be dried up.
