Defective ELD here even though I'm not within the VIN's on the TSB. The dealership are changing the underhood fuse relay box today, they said it will take half a day. Anything I should be aware of or look for in case they did something wrong during the procedure?

Well, I guess you shouldn't have ACCESSIVE dimming now! remember some is normal.... changes in power load & lights are effected.

I can tell when the washer changes cycles all the way at the other end of my house by the dimming of the some of the lights in my bathroom! It's not noticed anywhere else....

I'm glad they're doing it for you even if your car's out of the VIN range!! They get points for that! Now hopefully they won't mess anything up or they'll lose those & more!!!

Well just got it back. The only thing they forgot to put back were the throttle cables in their clips (minor detail).

It wasn't the dimming that was worrying me, it was the gauges flickering and the interior and instrument panels really dimming when I started up the car. Not doing it so far. Looks like Braeden did a good job. This tech is as OCD as I am so asking for him by name, even his tools are lined up and cleaned nicely.

Although forgetting the clips was kinda lame...I'm glad the change is doing it's job!!

My prince has several customers that ask for him by name....they're usually told they can't do that.... so when they threaten to go somewhere else, he gets them.

Well the lights at first did seem brighter (not my main issue to begin with), maybe it's just me but they don't seem as bright as when I first picked it up (like I said no biggie). The flickering however is back...

Doesn't happen everytime. When starting the car ODO almost goes black, fuel and temp gauge drop back down (not all the way but at least about 1-2 cm) to E and C respectively. Then they all light up and go back to normal once the car is running. Never happens if I turn it off and wait a couple of minutes and turn it back on again. Only seems to happen when the car has been sitting for a while.

Princess does this ring any bells? Anyone else have anything similar?

Called the dealer and described the problem, they don't think it's normal but don't know off the bat what it might be. Taking it in in a couple of weeks along with it's 10,000 mile service.

We have very similar cars and I've never had anything like this happen to mine. It definitely doesn't sound normal. I hope you can get it resolved.

Prince happened to be here & suggested to have the battery checked...it sounds liek a bad cell. Not ALL testers will show a bad cell, but shouldn't pass a "load test" if that's the problem.....

Of course the car wouldn't reproduce the symptom for them. They did the load test anyway and said it was fine. The battery started at 13.08V and with loading dropped to 10.somethingV but not less than 10. They're checking the techline and will troubleshoot when I bring it in for the 10,000.
