Keep my 2008 V6-6 or get 2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT

So I have posted a few comparisons in the past debating about wether or not I should trade in my 2008 V6-6 Coupe for something else. All of you guys have given me great input in the past, but now I really am having hard choosing what to do with my Accord.

The 2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Limited is a bad ass sedan. It comes with a 2.5 turbo 4 with a 6-Speed. The redesigned exterior is fantastic and the luxurious interior is great as well. Not only is this car faster than our Accord (1/4 mile high 13's), It's obviously roomier and more comfortable.

I just want to know what you all think about it because your advise has always been great.

What's the real reason behind all of these comparison threads? Do you need to ditch the coupe for a 4-door? This is the third one and it's always the 6-speed coupe vs. something with four doors. Maybe it's just a coincidence... in which case I say keep the Accord.

Buy a new car. Economy needs stimulus. Don't care about your needs.

Its a much better looking car than previous. If i had a 6-6 and it had no rattle issues, brakes and etc then i wouldnt trade up. If yours is plagued as much as my car was/is then by all means. I would personally trade up but not sure which car i would go with, infiniti, subie and couple other choices out there. Put pros and cons together and see what comes out on top

You should at least post pictures of the GT, not the base model. Of course the base model is going to look like crap compared to the GT. *EDIT* The hood scoop and wheels doesn't change much...
http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...t-and-25i.html

05-06 GT's were bad ass compared to the base model's, especially the Spec B.

Thumbs down

Subie 2.5s have a well documented history of head gasket failure. I have no idea whether they've fixed this yet. I finally dumped my '01 when the dealer told me I'd be needing a second H/G replacement at 115K mi.

Check out some of the Subaru boards for info- www.ultimatesubaru.org is pretty similar to driveaccord; lots of pretty good info there.

The Legacy has the edge in the quarter mile with its traction advantage. But it is heavier and has less power. I really doubt it is faster than the 6-6 in real world driving like merging with highway traffic or passing someone. Premium fuel is required with the 2.5GT. Maybe you do that now with the Accord so it doesn't matter. It may be an additional cost to think about.
It is a decent family sedan though and much more fun than an 8th gen 4 door Accord for example.

The Legacy looks like a bigger version of the Hyundai Sonata. Resale is not as high and it looks more like a very boring family car.

Subie is ugly. The Accord runs high 13s stock (if you can drive) and resale value is better.

It will be easier to mod the Subie though.

I'm not a fan of the new Legacy. It looks to Hyundai-ish.

If you were to trade the Accord in for an Impreza WRX or STi, I'd be all for it.

supposedly they fixed the HG issue in 05, im not entirely convinced. This is the same company has you dump additives in to "Fix" the issue. (I kid you not)

Subaru's are good cars, they tend to leak and fail gaskets a lot more since many gaskets sit wet due to the low position of the boxer engine.

I almost traded for a 08. They are nice (even the old design). They have proven AWD, and snow performance.

One interesting thing, the AWD system differs depending what transmission you select (6mt, CVT, or Auto)
