05 to 06 07 sedan front end conversion
ive searched and have somewhat an idea on how to do this. i was originally under the impression that i only needed the bumper cover to do this. from what ive found so far on here i think i need the bumper cover and the bumper itself. can anyone confirm this? has anyone done it? im planning on purchasing this bumper as soon as i can find one at the local yard so im trying to get an idea of all the parts involved. also i assume id need the 06-07 grille. thanx in advance

I have done a full 04 to 06 front end conversion for my sedan.
You will need to purchase about $250 in parts above and beyond the 06 bumper itself and the repainting/labor. As I recall off the top of my head, besides the actual bumper, you will need a new upper and lower grille, the H emblem, bumper brackets to hold your 06 bumper to the body/chassis, a new front license plate holder, and the two black louvered panels (for the fog light inserts). My avatar is of my 04 sedan fully converted to an 06 bumper.

Really? i can get an 06 bumper already painted my color on CL for $100. I dont need the grille since i have an asian grille, or the fog light covers because ill be doing the inspire fogs, and making a custom lower grille for $20. But im still on the ropes of whether its worth it

So you need new 06 brackets to attach it to your front end. Do the 03-05 front end have any brackets we can reuse?

any new on this? I'm looking to do this conversion too seeing as the front bumper on my 05 is cracked and I like the 06-07 bumper better so I figured I'd do it. As far as I can tell the bumper brackets are the same? Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks as though all you'd need to replace is the grill

OK - I tried just finding a clean list of what would be needed to do this swap and have not had any luck. I have a 2005 Honda Accord V6 Sedan. I want to update to the 06-07 Front Bumper. Can someone just please put up a full list of what is ABSOLUTELY necessary to do this swap?
Thanks in advance! 1.) 06 Front Bumper 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) |
