the 1st gen 360 was notorious for this indeed. the 360 is currently in it's 3rd generation and has the LEAST amount of issues with the RRoD. so, getting a new 360 now would be more unlikely for a RRoD to happen.

and, idk why people say that "omg, it's a pain to RMA my 360!" i've had to do it to mine once already and it was rather painless. Microsoft paid for the shipping both ways on this for me. the only biggie was that i didn't have a console for about a week and a half, but i wasn't bothered since i don't NEED my 360 to live, lol.

i can say the same about ALL playstation generation controllers as they are essentially the same! oh, and also for the Wii. for me, the controller makes up a major deciding factor of my console purchase. if i find it uncomfortable or difficult to get a hang of, i won't buy that console.

I have no complaints on any controller, as long it isn't too big for my hands, I'm happy. lol

I don't have a problem with the RMA, it was the issue that I barely played my 360 and it had RRoD on the night I got Halo 3..rofl

ahh, gotcha. yea, my 360 was getting a good 3 - 4hrs. of game play every night for the previous few months before it got the RRoD. so, i was getting some good gaming going on with it. at the time i was playing Fallout 3 (still need to finish this game btw), and i was also playing Halo 3 online with my friends.
