The HFP is designed for 6cyl coupes only. I think some people have used HFP (M/T version) on 4cyl, but I am not sure how that works out in the end.

Also, I wouldn't recommend buying the HFP and replacing the HFP spring with an aftermarket spring. It'll cost you as much as coilovers, and you'll still have the spring/strut mismatch.

If you're looking to slam your car, do not buy tein ss. I tried to do it earlier but tein ss's do not max out as much as megan/ksport.

Here's the HFP Suspension at CHH! See how it's the spring and strut combo? ^^

I don't think they're true coilovers, but they are way more affordable and better than springs because they give you new struts. Many people here on da.net have it and Hittman did a DIY on the front end of his car..<<

It also looks like HFP will fit 4cyl, unless the v6 people have a different front end like us sedans. Don't quote me on it, but I think it'll work ...ask the others who actually have the HFP kit on theirs.

I hope this helps around the questions around pricing... I think all pricing should be kept at the minimum advertised online. The reason being, that's the lowest price you see. What gets "worked" out between you and the company is one thing, but there are minimum advertised price agreements between most coilover companies. If the company you are advertising for is showing or publically stating prices below that marker they can get charged or no longer be able to carry that manufacturers products... just some tips.

Redbull, I'd be glad to help you with any of the descriptions if needed. I think this thread could be valuable for all of those confused about what coilovers are, what springs are, and the options they have available!

I think a mod will probably have to go through this thread after its done and clean-up tho.

Why exactly are basics not worth it? How much are they?

You don't have tein basics in your price list, how much do those usually run?

I found some for $765, but I'm sure there are better prices out there. I mean lets face it: in the time that it took me to give you this reply you could've googled it and got and answer, then bookmarked the website.

I'm not trying to seem pissy, man. Sorry.

No you're right, I was saying that for the better of the thread.

Just drawing a ttention to the fact that the thread is missing info

This is a FAQ thread, and a FAQ thread without all the answers isn't that much help, ya know?

Brilliant thread... I'm going to replace my factory shocks/struts in about 30K miles (which means in about a year for me), and I briefly thought about saving extra for coilovers, and this thread answered all my initial questions!

Thanks to Hittman, I actually have a nice set of wheels to show off on my sedan, even though ya'll 6-6 owners are used to the 18"ers...
