Cant lock\Unlock Door with Key Remote...?

Sup Everyone,

I cant lock\unlock or open the trunk using the key remote. It stopped working from one day to the next. Initially i thought maybe the battery needs to be replaced but the red light illuminates on the key remote whenever i press a button. I think it just may need to be re-programmed. I thought i saw instructions somewhere on the forum. Anyone know where i might find this information?

Note: I'm not referring to the immobilizer or chip in the key. That works perfectly fine.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. btw, i tried search but it didnt yield any positive results.

Thanks

No, I think the battery is still good. The red light illuminates on the key remote whenever i press a button. I think it just may need to be re-programmed.

Are you talking about the battery in the car? When I needed a new battery, I couldn't unlock the doors using the key, but the red light was still coming on as far as I can remember.

I am having the same problem on my 03. I took the remote to a watch repair kiosk and he checked the battery and said it is fine. Searching for answers and troubleshooting info with no luck so far.

I had the same problem with my 03. Changed the battery and nothing. Never got around to use the alarm until 3 months ago. Went into Honda to get a HP Power Steering hose and was like wth just order me another keyfob. Programmed it via directions and good to go now. Everything is working.

Here are the instructions i used. You need to follow the steps quickly in order for it to accept the programming. Hope this helps.

1.turn key on (II) hit lock button on fob - turn key off
2.turn key on (II) hit lock button on fob - turn key off
3.turn key on (II) hit lock button on fob - turn key off
4.turn key on (II) hit lock button on fob
5.you should hear the door lock actuators work(you are in the programming mode)
6.hit lock buttons on all fobs you should hear the door actuators working with each button press.
7.Turn ign switch to off
8.Remove key and viola, all keyless remotes shoud work then.

**You must do each step quickly for success, i would say within 5-6 seconds. It took me two tries.
