MetaEnder's '03 Accord coupe EX-V6 6MT build thread

I've started frequenting this forum, so I figured I'd throw this on here. I'll probably add to it every now and then, the little things I do.

Sorry for all the low quality pictures, I'm at school out of state and haven't gotten to do any good photo shoots, but summer's on it's way!

Year: 2003
Make: Honda
Model: Accord EX-V6NV
Color: black leather interior with Nighthawk Black exterior.

Engine: J30A4; 3.0L SOHC V6 VTEC 6 speed M/T (stock ~240HP).

Honda Factory Performance upgrades from the factory:
HFP Sport tuned front and rear double wishbone suspension
HFP Front and Rear stabilizer bars.
Front shock tower bar.

Interior:
All power options.
Navigation

Exterior:
Summer: 18" Kyowa Racing KR210 (Advan Kreuzer V replicas) with General tires & OEM Honda center caps.
Winter:17" Honda alloy wheels with 215/50R17 All Season Tires (gonna be winter rims )
Underbody kit
Spoiler
Tein lowering springs (put on 3-15-10 for me by him!)

Original MSRP (2003): $33,732.5
Me: $12,000

Reason why I know all this crap is because the 2 owners before me KEPT EVERYTHING, all receipts, EVERYTHING down to the freaking sticker that was in the window in the lot and the temporary license plate, haha.

3/20/10 - 18 hours after I got it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ONLY problem with this car is a rock took out the fog light, so I'm gonna go online and find a replacement ASAP.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3/22/10 - Wash/wax and some good 'ol Idaho farm pics!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Repaired and tinted fog lights:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Put my new shoes on today. And my OEM Honda centercaps fit! They're not that fancy though, prolly replace 'em sometime. Other than that I've got the ones that came with the rims which are nice too!

>>Dirty dirty car, just some teaser pics!

Oh yeah man, thanks again! I'm going to school away from home so I got to use a scissor jack to put 'em on. Talk about tiring, haha. Also, what were those black rings in the small white box? I put 'em on between the rim and the hub, but is that where they go? Haha.

VTECaddict is a legitimate guy and followed through 100% on his rim/tire/caps sale to me.

Yeah, they're hub centric rings. Helps the wheel stay centered on the hub to reduce vibration.

Well I'm glad I put 'em on then, haha.

Thanks! Haha. I think so too! IMHO the stock ones aren't too bad either though. Will be great for any winter driving I do.

Your car is awesome dude. I love the black on black. The wheels also compliment the ride nicely as well.

Thanks! Yeah, definitely like the new rims, they work well. I'm gonna be doing some more black work too, probably be tinting the tail lights and headlights after some HID work, etc. We'll see!

Went out with my girlfriend and took some fun pictures of our cars in the sun while we were out.

Me = '03 AV6 6MT
Her = '99 Eclipse GSX

I know she's monster truckin', but she has to use that car year round through LOTs of snow so I don't think we'll be lowering it at all. She's due for new tires, so I might get some beefier ones to help fill the gap.

Enjoy.

Here's a crapy vid I took of her car rolling. Sorry, my camera's not HD, but I thought you guys might enjoy it none the less.

Here we go..

Removed all the stupid plastic snaps from the top and pulled off that plastic piece-

Removed all the bolts and snaps on the underside of the bumper and pulled the front lip off. Note: There was some double sided tape or something holding the lip tight at the grill fyi. The lip was put on at the dealership or wherever with the entire HFP package so this bumper hasn't seen the light of day in years! And you can tell from how extremely dirty it is, haha. Gonna be polishing that up nice and sealing it when I put the lip back on in the Spring-

All the bolts and plastic snaps all lined up like a little map for me.

Pulled bumper off-

Tricky part's over, headlights are a breeze-

Once everything was out, taped up the headlight bulb connector ends, and then popped the bumper back in place. Put in just a few of the top screws and a couple snaps to hold it snug for my .2 mile drive home from the shop I work at. Popped my fog lights back in (it was dark outside) and headed home!

Fogs and headlights are out, ready to hand over to the Forum Retrofitters for some retrofittin'. More later.

Installed my Injen CAI, Weathertech visors, projector retrofits, HID's in headlights and fogs and then reinstalled front bumper and lip. Whew. With that rug out there it looks like I'm in my living room or something, ha.

Ewe, dusty.

Looks good! Props for doing HID the right way

Just wondering, what does "NV" stand for?
