Just got '06 Coupe, need help with wheels...

Last Saturday I picked up a new '06 Accord Coupe. I4 auto. It has 5 lug wheels, that are 16 inch. I'm looking at aftermarket wheels, but don't understand the breakdown on the generations mentioned.

What gen. is my new Accord? and what gens will fit. I would like to go to a 17x7 or 17x7.5.

I think I can come up with a set of take offs from an '06 V6 stick version. Would they work out ok?

'03, '04, '05, '06 are 7th generation cars.
As for wheels, an upgrade to 17" wheels will improve style and help maintain ride comfort. 18" wheels will improve style more to what is is in vogue but you will probably loose some ride comfort. 19" and up are workable but fit within the wheel well can be a problem, if your car is lowered. Your ride comfort would deteriorate with 19's. IMHO I would search the forums and see what is being done with suspensions, wheels, lowering etc. There is a lot of good info, pictures and ideas out there. I would enjoy your new car for awhile,spend some time educating yourself then make some solid decisions.

Only 6th gen Accord wheels will fit your car, but ONLY the V6 versions, NOT the I4 versions...5lug V6 vs. 4lug I4.

The '06 V6MT wheels will work fine. They are essentially the same wheels as the 02-03 TL Type-S, so look around for those as well, you might find a better deal.

they shud fit w/o any probs check the 02-03 type s rims of the tl , they will look good, i hv 17" with lowprofiles if interested let me know
