HFP Suspension install....opinions needed.

So I purchased a hfp suspension kit for my 08 accord coupe v6/6mt and just need it installed.

For anyone who has installed it yourself.....how difficult on a scale of 1-10 (1 being an oil change)....

I called around and the going rate from honda is 2.2 hrs for labor plus a 4 wheel alignment. I am looking at about $170 in labor to install the kit plus another $80 for the alignment. (I need my alignment checked either way whether I install it myself or not....so its basically a matter of spending $170 or not)

For all those who installed this yourself is it worth shelling out $170 to have a dealer install it?......basically looking back would you have paid $170 rather than spending the time to do it yourself.

$170 isn't that bad at all. It isn't a tough job, maybe 3 or 4 outta 10. Unless you really enjoy DIY stuff, I'd just pay to have it done.

Don't you have to cut out the rear? And a part of the front? (at least thats what I remember the instructions saying) If you're not comfortable cutting your bumpers then definitely $170 is worth it if you ask me.

I don't think there is any cutting involved....

That's only for the HFP body kit, the suspension is pretty easy to install if you have a helper and a few tools, it's all nuts and bolts pretty much.

I'd say do it yourself so you can have a hands on learning experience, but that's just my thoughts.

For 170 bucks you can almost get an intake or some light mods.

I am going to attempt installing it this Saturday. I'll start with the rear since it looks the trickiest...if I can't get it done I guess I'll just keep my service appointment...no biggie.

It does look like a straight forward install but so did a lightweight crank pulley swap for my 7th gen accord....and that was such a nightmare I never ended up getting my old crank pulley off and called it quits.....and that was literally one bolt...haha.

I'll post some pointers for anyone else looking to install the hfp suspension kit....

I did mine.... although I have the I4 I did the HFP Kit.. it was pretty Straight Forward.. You will however need 2 jacks and Jackstands One to Jack and suport the car the other to jack and adjust the arms as the weigh a ton and it wasnt easy to hold it white attempting to cross bolt the new one into place
