Re: maint req'd lights
this is by memory so please bear with me.
On gen 7, pre '06 my
I4 blinking at approx 8000 miles on solid at 10,000 mile intervals
V6 blinking at approx 6000 miles on solid at 7,500 miles.
What I've always done, generic Honda:
First interval, oil change, if mostly urban stop go, rotate tires, hwy leave tires
Second interval oil change, rotate, check brakes (tires are off anyway)
Continue to 30k, at that mileage, trans fluid (auto), cabin and air filters. Plugs if it uses conventionals. 2.0 CRVs valve adjustment critical. B16, B18 adjust valves.
3 years/ 45k, brake fluid/clutch fluid. On older cars coolant (non-long life) change if not done.
60k, same as 30k, add pcv valve (4 cylinder), inspect cap & rotor if equipped, manual trans fluid change. Replace platinum plugs in B18C1, and other engines that use single tipped platinum plugs.
90k, timing belt(s), water pump, adjust valves on D series engines, otherwise same as 30k. This is for 4 cylinder and old 90 degree V6 engines. Inspect tensioner rollers and idler rollers if it has them for noise and play, check all oil seals for any leakage.
105k, older V6 (J30A1, J32) timing belt, pump, valve adjustment, clean egr port, full tune up (double platinum plugs), igntion wires (if equipped), cap/rotor replacement, pcv.
110k, K series and J30A4, plugs, pcv, coolant. (has type2 long life) V6s, timing belt and water pump, should also do timing belt tensioner and roller.
K series and new Civic engines use a timing chain. Should be life of car.
Check valve adjustment on all, even if not noisy. (being a bit anal here)
I also would NOT go more than 7 year on any timing belt, regardless of mileage.
120k, on cars that have ignition wires they should be replaced if more than 5 years old. (D, F, H, B, early J if not done at 105, ZC, 90 degree V6)
