3M Headlight Restoration

Recently got the 3M headlight restoration kit. For some reason the seals on the lights were cracked so replacing the lights is so pricey I gave this a try. Results were spectacular! The pictures are from before to after and some pics of the progress. The really milky white one is with it sanded before I used the finer sand paper attachment for the drill. Didn't take terribly long and we shall see how long they stay clear! I would definitely buy this kit again if needed. Results great!
Last two pics are finished product.
(Last pic has a tiny sliver of MY car in the background, since this is a honda forum!)

My grandfather has the same car and those cars are notorious for the fogging headlights. After you have done the whole thing, i recommend, if you have a buffer, to apply a heavy coat of wax and you can buff lots of those left over scratches out. If you don't have a buffer, use your hand, and buff your butt off. But they will come much clearer with a good coat of wax. Lets see the results after that.

X2 for the wax recommendation. Not only to help them look better but to help protect the new finish. I used the 3M system a few months ago and they've yellowed up again.

Use a sealant after the 3M application, not a wax. It will last longer, the exception being Collinite wax.

Yup, after using the 3M kit, I've applied sealant to the headlights every month and they still look crystal clear 6 months later.

Isn't using wax on unpainted surfaces dangerous anyway?

not really, if you apply it to a grainy plastic its going to be next to impossible to remove. waxing the head/tail lights is a good way to help protect them. waxing the windows doesn't hurt either.
