Only making the point that 5000K @ 35 Watts will require aprox 6 - 8000K @55 Watts.

When did RS start to include the relay harness? When I ask him about it back in Nov 09 he wants to charge me shipping for the relay harness. I didn't request him to send me the relay harness initially as I thought relay harness is not the problem. When I did further research, I should indeed install the HID kit with a relay harness and hopefully it will fix the issue. I send him a PM in March '10 and ask Todd about the relay harness and i'll pay for shipping. He wants to charge me $20 for the relay harness and $18 with member discount. I brought two kits from him too.

I'm not sure when he started including the harness but, if memory serves, he did write that it wasn't a retroactive offer.

Here's some search results I found:

RS post

These go back as far as May 2010. There may be more earlier than this - just do a forum search for user retrosolutions with keyword harness.

Edit: found post from Feb 2010: Another post

I bought my kit in May 2010 and it came with the free harness. It was just thrown on top of everything in the kit. Was not even a slot for it. Maybe that way my nice case was broke when I got it.

.. wow after all this time and still not a word for RS about this post.. They must only stick to the one area now for free of all the people on here now.

If you ever need a replacement, you can pick one up from here.
Looks familiar minus the sticker?

RS seems to buy cheap parts, relabels, sells high with so called "Lifetime Warranty". Charegs for shipping both ways for replacement parts that you may have to return 2 or 3 times and then claims you are incompetent if you have a problem. Seems like a good business plan to me.

Yup. Might as well buy some cheap sh*tty DDM tuning kit for 30-40 bux. Stock up 2-4 sets as a back up in case the other one break. This way you don't have to deal with shipping time delay and the BS from RS. At the end you end up with 4 DDM tuning kits vs. 1 RS hid kit.

Hard to say about the quality of the DDM kits manufactured recently, but my 3 year old DDM kit used twice almost every day is surving just fine, a coworker bought a DDM kit a year ago and his kit is working fine too.

Interesting conversation refuting some of Todd's arguments. Post #20 is right on the money.
