Why?

Depends what you mean by modded. A v6 has no turbo or supercharger so it's not even worth racing. This is really a gray question since it can be modded by someone with deep pockets who could do a complete engine build with sc/turbo and upgrade other drive train components etc.

And it's not a matter of just the car .. it's who's driving, straight line, track .. do I need to go on?

Gains with all the bolt on's aren't really all that significant. Noticeable yes but nothing to make you want to put your racing gloves on.

Talk of street racing is against the rules here so I would leave that part out.

Search accord, maxima, and cc 1/4 miles times. There's a world wide web out there, don't be afraid to use it.

I'm asking here because I just bought a accord trying to see since there are people here who have modded their cars and trying to see if anyone has actually seen how their cars fair against other ones. I could look up all this stat sheets all night I want to hear it from actual people here

should check out BP pearl's dyno sheet and compare the dyno numbers from any stock cars. He drives a V6 and he's got all the mod products that $ can buy.

plus, why does it matter which cars you can beat?? accords aren't meant for racing.

depends if youre from a dig or rolling @ whateva speed mann...if you have an AT dont do it cause ur gonna **** up ur tranny. 6-6 is really quick though and can easily overtake 4 cyclinder hondas and acuras. i heard with 93 octane they can push 250 HP

I used to own a 2005 Maxima 6MT. That car was respectably fast but a 6-6 Accord will easily beat it. (The auto Accord on the other hand will get its butt kicked!) However if you go any Maxima forum, you'll also see several modified Maximas that can pull the quarter in the low 13s. (They respond well to exhaust headers.) It really depends on the budget. Racing is about money. End of story.

This is something I’ve been pondering as of lately. Motorweeek tested the 08 6-6 at 5.8 seconds and the ¼ nuke at 13.9 @ 101 mph. Car and driver said the scooted the 6-6 0 – 60 at 5.6. And of course, this is in the stock form. When compared to some of my favorite muscle cars from the past (Below), I must say that I am impressed…

1969 Camaro Z28 7.4 sec 15.1 sec @ 94.8 mph
1967 Corvette 427 Tri-Power 5.6 sec 13.8 sec @ 110.5 mph
1967 Chevelle SS396 6.5 sec 14.9 sec @ 96.5 mph
1969 Mustang Boss 302 6.9 sec 14.9 sec @ 96.2 mph
1969 Mustang Boss 429 7.1 sec 14.1 sec @ 102.9 mph
1970 Barracuda 440 Six Pack 5.9 sec 14.0 sec @ 100.0 mph

There is no question today's cars are faster than ever. It may be true that the 6-6 Accord and the '67 427 Vette may have similar ETs, but just take note of the trap speed. 110 mph verse 100 mph is HUGE! If those old muscle cars had today's tires, you could probably knock 3/4's of a second off their 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. But then again, those cars old muscle cars could barely hold an idle, turn or stop. They also cranked around 3,000 rpm at 60 mph and got 7-9 mpg.
