Well I didn't know any of that. When I filed the complaint with Paypal it asked for specifics about the problem so that's really too bad if they don't care that the merchandise doesn't work. I guess I'll call my credit card company and see what they say. Thanks for the information.

Unfortunately I learned the hard way -- it's more of a scare tactic. The seller will often times panic, and work out some kind of amicable solution. if they stick to their guns, at the end of the day, (when you "escalate" the dispute to a claim) PayPal just says "this is our policy" -- they closed mine immediately after it was escalated. Like, within minutes.

Like I said though, read through their documentation and see if this isn't still the case. Last time I drifted through it was last year, it might have changed.

So - I think it's not double dipping until you make it a formal claim, so you might still have room with your credit card.

PayPal is both an excellent system, and the devil at the same time. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. They're not customer oriented.

Hopefully it's not even an issue, and qualir will man up and take the item back.

It looks beautiful. I wish I would have done this to my car. Everyone kept telling me that I could not do a double din for my 07 so I opted out and got a double din that awkwardly fit for the lower cubby with a pioneer cd/dvd player. i wish i would have gotten this

Wow. Another chinese POS stereo. Sorry to hear you got burned on that deal. Doubtful you will ever see your money because the seller is in China and you are in the US. Nothing you can do about it and PayPal protection doesn't cover products that fail. They only cover you if the seller never sends the item. Like the AutoSoul POS, their warranty excludes the display. If you did research, you would have seen the AutoSoul thread and realized that they are the exact same stereos, yours just doesn't have the buttons on the side. That should have been your warning sign. The reason the AC/Heat doesn't work is because the chinese stereos are not designed for US vehicles. Chinese vehicles use the metric system, Celsius. US vehicles do not. That is why your AC doesn't work. Good luck trying to get your money back. Hopefully you can.

I saw these Chinese stereos with all the bells and whistles and though how cool it would be to get one. All I really need is an iPod adapter but thought about buying one like this off ebay to get the GPS, DVD, and all the other stuff. It is a good thing had already placed my order for the AUX + iPod adapter for my stock deck, sound like it has been nothing but trouble for you. I don’t even need all the other stuff, I primarily use my car to go to and from work. All out of town travels are done in the miss’s SUV with the Kenwood DVD/GPS unit.

The one thing I don’t like about the Honda cars is how the stereos are interconnected with the climate controls making aftermarkets virtually impossible, or at the very least highly impractical.

Well good news so far. After requesting SIX times for a refund, they finally agreed. Although they suddenly wanted proof that the screen actually wasn't working so I had the pleasure of removing my stock unit from the car again and plugging in the POS to record it.

On the bright side, I'm pretty much a freaking pro at tearing apart my console/dash! Anyone need theirs replaced, I've got it down to a science.

Hey Moocow, I have a stupid question. Does the L in EX-L just mean leather? My car has leather but my title just says it's an EX.
