Finally Decided to Mod Coupe

Hi guys, i've been spending a lot of time on this forum reading threads. And i finally decided to start my own.

i got my 2011 i4 Accord coupe EX-L(silver) in september 2010. After looking at some mods for the car. i decided i want to start doing something with it.

The first thing i was thinking about was starting with lighting...i found V-leds.com and they have some interesting stuff.

http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/T...68712-1-2.html
^for the front turn signal^
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-HID-H...25417-1-2.html
^the hid kit^

now the problem i have with this hid kit is that the only one they have is the 6000k quartz purple. i cant really visualize this color... ive tried looking for sample of the color. but no luck. if anyone can help me with this...(im looking for a nice clear bright look).

Also i was wondering if i would need a relay kit for these hid's and my car. ive heard that sometimes hid's can flicker because there is no relay. if i would need one, where can i get it?

im not sure about the DRL's since i would need a dual hi/low on it. and LED's dont really have those. which means i would prolly hook up another hid to it.(any opinions on this?)

here are some pix of stock. will update pix as soon as i get my lights modded. (would like to do it this week, if i get my answers =))

Then i need to get some foglights...i would need the whole foglight kit...but not sure where i can find some(would put LED bulb in them).

lol? its on the site you posted up, not too much a fan of 6000k lights, they look nice but 4300 is better for visibility =P I myself have ddm 5000k hid's i'm going to install this weekend no relay kit.

unless i'm wrong, you don't really need a relay kit if its 35w the power output from the stock connector should be enough for it, but if you need one i believe ddm sells one for 12$

why are you switching out your turn signal? lol i don't really see a difference

heres a few reasons not to install hid's before you choose to do it =P

oh man i didnt even notice the 6000k purple on the site. cool.

the reason im changing the turn signal is that it looks really nice. my friends infinity g37 has them, and they look really nice.

any ideas on the DRL or fogs?

I got the same kit from Vleds, but got the 5000K bulb. No issues so far with them (2 months now) and I did not use a relay since they are 35W.

I also got the H11 LEDs from Vleds for my fogs. About the DRLs, it would be a waste of time and money to make them HIDs. I would either disable the DRL or just leave it alone.

About the 1157, the link you posted are Type 1, which flashes white and amber. Not my style. I am waiting for the Type 2 to be available.

Good luck with the mods....

Thanks phamman.

What do you know about this Downpipe? I know it says not tested on the coupe but I can always contact them about that. Will this make my car sound mean?(lol)

The M3 roof spoiler I got on ebay from a Taiwanese seller. Same thing for the switchblade. Just do a search by name for my posts and it will have the hyperlinks to the ebay(s) seller.
