Someone backed into my baby!

It's in the shop now but it's only surface damage thankfully. The lady was actually very nice, but it puzzles me how people back up in cars and pay no attention to what's behind them at times. they just gun it. and BANG!!!! So goes my car's wax job.

At any rate, they gave me a new Jetta, the 2010 and this car is garbage! It handles like garbage, it feels like garbage, and I would recommend ANYONE who has an Accord to not drop down to one of those things. I think I've bumped my head 3 times getting in that car already! sheesh!

the minute I started to drive it, I looked at my wife and said: "Hun, I really miss the Honda already."

And she says: "I know right? I can't get comfortable in these seats."

So in another day or so, I should have my behbeh back on the road. I think I'm going to get a complete overhaul on the paint job....buff that ****er out and get a new clearcoat on it.

Yeah, I should be getting mine back from the shop today after a minor accident. I got an Audi A4 2.0t as my rental (mixup at rental place and mucho complaining got me the "upgraded" rental". Let me tell you, if you ever want to feel good about your Accord purchase, drive one of these pieces of crap! Talk about turbo-lag, UGH! Car doesn't even move for 3 seconds after giving it gas, the... ZING, shoots away with WAY too much giddy-up. I can't wait to get my Accord back, I hope it looks good as new. Will post pics of repair once I get it.

I need to post the pics of my car's ding too, well, the before and afters.

So the A4 is some crap eh? And my wife has being dying to get another Audi, the A4 specifically. I don't like it and never did. I like the A6 more. She had a TT but it had major issues so I convinced her to dump it and I'd buy her another one. I have yet to see the reviews on TT's being good.

I know. My wife owned a Jetta and Audi. heh heh...

BUt I think the A8 looks gorgeous! I can't speak for the upkeep of them...haven't known anyone personally making enough money to buy one of those houses-on-wheels...haha

Well, they're not ALL crap... I'd literally kill for an RS6

But you're right about the Jetta = A4 = crap thing. It was a decent enough car feature wise once you get used to the German quirks... it just drove like total and utter trash. Once on the highway and up to speed it was much better but launching from a stop was scary sometimes when you'd give it gas to move through an intersection and the car would just sit there slowly rolling into oncoming traffic.

To be honest I'm not convinced that there wasn't a problem with the transmission or something. I can't imagine that anyone would ever buy this car if this is what they all feel like. The other possibility is that the rental model was mated to a CVT. I'm pretty sure it was which would explain why the turbo lag was so unbelievably bad... I just wonder why they would even produce a car with such bad driving characteristics. Oh and the brakes were like a switch, either on or off, no modulation whatsoever.

That's the pic of my car. It wasn't major...just surface stuff so hopefully they'll be done pretty soon. But the paint got nicked up pretty good in some spots so I'm assuming paint strip down and wet sanding before reapplying paint and clearcoat.

well, a new jetta has a MSRP of $16,000.00. you get what you pay for.

i considered the audi A5 - it was pretty sweet but for the money (about 18K more), i couldn't justify it.

i know how you feel, i was stuck in traffic (2 lane highway with 1 lane being coned off) and while (pretty much) stopped, a guy in a BMW X5 rams me at 25-30mph out of no where.

managed to get a fully-loaded prius w/ navi for rental though.

yeah, it was while i was driving my accord. and it was in october last year. ironically, i was going to the chiropractor for my neck when i was in an accident while sitting in my friends car when he got into an accident. almost $10,000 in damages
