What Type of Capacitor for 08 Accord Coupe
Well, Looks like My HID (right side passenger) is starting to flicker. I tried everything but this. I just don't know what type of Capacitor to get for such a new car, can I get some advice? I already ordered new bulbs, and I have 2 ballasts in my garage that I am going to swap out. all 35Ws. But, I just want to try a capacitor in case this happens with everything I rewire.
Thanks, Chris Oh, v6 Coupe 3.5

You don't need a capacitor for the 8th gen. And I doubt that a capacitor will help with your flickering.

Hmm I was reading up on it, and a lot of people are saying that it helps. But, I am going to try my new lights when they come, if not I'll switch the Ballasts too.
Thanks

Everything else being equal, i.e. no bad connections, no sub-standard or defective ballasts or HID capsules, and using 35 watts kit, there is absolutely no need or benefit to use a capacitor, HID is not like your audio system needing large instantenous power to drive the subs, it's a steady current draw, the capacitor won't fix the real problem you have if your light is flickering during operation.
Using a capacitor in an attempt to fix the flickering completely meaningless and useless. My bet is that your ballast is likely at fault.
