Opinion needed =o)

Should I trade my 2011 EX-L Coupe with 8k miles for 2009 Nissan 370z with 16k miles?

Both is black color, but the Nissan has cloth seat.

Ty, please don't hate.

1. Ready to give up the back seat?

2. How much warranty left on Nissan? You'll need to know the in service date.

3. Nissan is a ton of fun to drive.

Yeah the backseat is my main concern. Also I am not sure how much they would give me for the trade in..

It said on KBB $27k excellent condition.... They probably gonna give me like $23k...

You'll take a bath on the depriciation.

If money is no concern, then do what makes you happy. You only go around once.

They use to have issues with front end alignments. So budget new tires very often. Other than that and what's already been mentioned I like them.

Ty guys/gals, going to the dealer sometime tomorrow.

I decided to go with the automatic (so my wife can drive it also.).

I'm a bit concerned with the car being 2-3 years old and only have 8k miles.. maybe a weekend driver?

Would you be more nervous if it was a 3 year old car with 70k miles?

Enjoy it, it was probably someone else's 2nd car before. Or it's been sitting on a dealer lot, us it to work on price.

Run an Autocheck it seems to be more accurate than Carfax. Dispaying accidents that Carfax missed. See if the dealer will run it for you.

I just think ouch on purchasing a 2011 car then deciding you don't want it anymore. Personally with some modifications you will enjoy the Honda much better.

+1. I have a 3 year old as well and decided to put the extra cash in the bank for jr. The honda is a great car for what I purchased it for. 5 star rated safe vehicle to carry my family in that won't break down on me, will hold it's value and will not kill me on insur and fuel. The vette did a fine job of that! If the Z was a weekend garage queen, then I would be there with you. But as a replacement for your DD, not for me.

Couple things here. First, if the dealer won't run it for you, stay away. Any dealer that won't show a carfax has something to hide.

Second, the two reports tend to be about the same. This does not mean they catch everything. One major thing I learned in my years in the car business is that those reports are a very silly thing to rely upon. It is incredibly easy for a damaged/wrecked car to be repaired without a report ever being issued. My employer would purchase wrecked cars so long as they had a clean history report, and then we would send the vehicle out for repair.

If you are seriously doubting the car, take it to a shop and they will give you a much better opinion than any report can provide.
