Just got a 10k maintenance check from Honda

10K check? where did you get the idea it needed that?

I think i got a letter from my dealership about it.. shouldn't i schedule a check-up?

never believe the dealer 1st..beleive yoour owner's manual - change the oil and filter when the maint minder gets to 15%, check your brake pads and you can stay out of the dealer if the engine is not making any problems. IN 20K, my car has never seen the dealership and yes, the warranty is fine....no impact.

here's what I have done in 20K:
changed oil and filter 4 times
replaced brake pads (did not need it, just wanted ceramic)
replaced wipers
replaced air filter
replace interior air filter
rotated tires twice

all done in my driveway or at jiffy lube..

read the manual...dealers starve in the service dept selling accords that are maintained...
