1. Question: Does the gps have text to speech so that the street sames are said aloud and not just "turn right"?
Answer: No it is not Text to speech, it advises you by distance to turn, and tells you to turn right, but when you get close to the turn the NAVI ZOOM's in really close and you see the Street #'s very large.

2. Question: Can you listen to music while using the gps so that the gps will mute the music just for voice prompts and then resume inbetween? This is a big part of what attracts me to an integrated gps/radio.
Answer: Simply No, Reason is because the Navi brings it's own external Speaker so even though your are playing your music the GPS sound will come out of the NAVI External Speaker "So if you are riding with your Music really loud you will not hear the GPS insrtuctions. Now this is for me because i installed the external speakers all the way in the back of the NAVI and the speaker facing the Front windshield lol.. Instead of Near my VSA control. OF COURSE if you install the external closer to you and directly at you, you will be able to hear it MUCH better

3. Question: Does the Bluetooth system use the car speakers and mute music playing when you get a call? And how does it sound? Can you and the person on the phone hear each other clearly?
Answer:
THIS APPLIES TO EX-L with Bluetooth already. You do not need to use the Power Acoustic Bluetooth system, if you use your OEM Bluetooth the Power Acoustic Displays your OEM Bluetooth so just like the standard way before when you get a Phone Call the music will mute and you will hear your Phone ring through the speakers and you will still use the OEM MIC's not the Power Acoustic Mic, so for US EX-L WITH BLUETOOTH we don't need to install the Power Acoustic MIC.

I can't speak for the other models, but when i use the Power Acoustic Bluetooth the Music does not MUTE, nor does your phone ring through the OEM speakers. The way it works is off the External Speaker if has, so the Key would be to install the External Speaker in a very close location to you and to have the speaker facing you. The Quality of the call is good and i believe the Power Acoustic MIC is better than the OEM MIC we have. My Girlfriend hears me better/Clearer from the Power Acoustic Mic rather than my OEM mic.

4. Question: If this piggybacks the oem radio, what is the point of the 4V pre-amp outputs this has?
Answer: For Aftermarket System. Sub's amp's ex. ex.

5. Question: Does this really make my center console USB useless?
Answer: I really can't tell you since i do not have a USB Connect, but the Power Acoustic System does have a USB connect

The screen resolution is really good, no complaints at all with the kit.

False, no lag on the GPS, i was in stop and go traffic lol.. Maybe it's the way i edited the Video ? lol.

AGREE, but 1 thing is that i never see the background.

I have it start-up on TIP " Radio mode", so i never see the Skull unless i go to desktop

don't you see it for a second on boot up?

apart from the odd skull graphic i think the only thing that holds me back is the GPS relying on an external speaker instead of the main audio feed.

did the rear plate frame come in any other colors? black?

Well for me i don't see it, because i remote start my car every time. So i never even see the start up skull either way, that shouldn't bother you either because it's just a Start up thing..

I agree on the GPS not going through the speakers, which that it would though.

No they only have chrome in stock, there is a Black one with Prox. Sensors but its like 100 bucks more.
