Removing Inside door trim

I ordered new inner door gaskets/weatherstripping for my sedan. This is the stripping that has the interior color of the car on the inner part. It goes around the inside of the car. I hope this is clear..ha. My question is, how do you remove the plastic piece of molding trim that is near the door sill, I guess it's called a scuff guard or something. Any help would be appreciated before I go pulling on it and tear up something.

thanks

That we be great, however I don't plan on taking apart the car that often. I order new OEM gaskets since for some reason mine are splitting apart. It was that way when I purchased it from the previous owner.
