8th Gen Sedan Retrofit

Had my retrofit done by Rich @ HID Illusionz. Received them at the end of January, just now got time to install and finally got the halos wired up. Here's some pictures with the DSLR:

Will get better pictures at night when I get a chance. Thunderstorm happened tonight, so that was out of the question.

Retrofit specs are...
* S2000 AP1 Low Beams with TSX-R Clear Lens
* MDX H11 Halogen Projectors (Flipped upside down) High Beams
* Osram 66240CBI bulbs (Currently with 2-3 hours of use. After break in at 20 hours, it'll produce a white 5000K color with approximately 3400 lumens)
* Mitsubishi Electric Gen III/IV Ballasts and Igniters (Same found on the 3G TL), mounted in OEM location under the sedan's headlights
* Gatling Gun v1 Shrouds
* CCFL Halos mounted behind the shrouds
* Housing painted low gloss black, Dodge red used on the shrouds
* Tinted Amber Reflectors

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the final product.

looks really nice. love the iron man effect of the halos and imo it's much more timeless than conventional halos (faddy). output is on point and the red lower grill provides continuity without being over the top. get some hoen fogs :P

Quick update.

The CBI bulbs are finally at the 20hr mark, and are officially broken in. I love them. Nice, crisp white output with a tinge of blue, but still officially 5000K and produce 3400 lumens. I'm extremely happy with these bulbs, and consider them worth the $180 I paid.

So are you running bi-xenon? when you flip your high-beam, is it instant "high" light? or do you have to wait for the other hid's to warm up

Ken - Thanks. Sent Rich these photos and he's actually a bit jealous lol Love the work he did, though.

lysol - My HID projectors are xenon, not bi-xenon. It's the S2000 AP1 projectors. My high beams are actually a halogen projector that was flipped upside down to act as my new high beam. Still functions the same, just has a projector look to it.

is it me or the driverside rotation is kinda off?

I've checked that. Everything's lined up on the bottom portion of the cutoff. The little dip from the slant to the right, going down, if I remember right, that's how the S2000 is designed, since the S2000 is a pretty low car, and it allows the headlights to be adjusted higher and not blind oncoming drivers.

But I'll look into it some more.
