Talking Whats your favorite cordless drill?

So im in the market for a new cordless drill... Ill be using it for work (condo maintenance), & my upcoming 5th gen complete teardown build. Im leaning towards an18volt lithium-ion. But as far as brands go, im trying to get some opinions. Ive always been a makita guy, but open to trying something new..btw, im thinking lightweight as well, as ill be toting it alot. plmk what u like & why. Thanks!

I have had very good experience with Dewalt cordless drills. 12v, 14.4v and 18v are all impressive.

I agree Dewalt or Makita both very expensive for alot of closet time if your not gonna use them - but i voted dewalt based on popularity seems every house i go to has one in the garage or basement -

I was just given a Ryobi with 2 batteries charger etc. basically the works, thing is a work horse, maybe not the top dawg in terms of cordless (this being my first one) but it def does the job for everyday around the house kinda stuff - batteries hold a good charge too!

Well being that ill be using it daily for work, closet time wont be an issue. I work on alot of jacuzzi tubs, & each one has aprox 30 screws that have to be removed to access the pump/guts area, & then all 30 have to be re-screwed in. sometimes I do 3-5 of these per day. & other general use for maintenance/carpentry/etc. Battery life, torque, durability, & weight are my main concerns

I voted Makita, but I haven't owned many of them. Black & Decker was terrible.

I've heard good things about Makita and I have a Dewalt myself. You probably won't go wrong with either of them. Get one with 2 li-ion batteries and you are set.

That's nuts. My Makita, granted, many years ago, was about that price with one battery and no impact.
