fitment question

Would fronts 17x7.5 +50 with 215/45R17 & rears 17x9.5 +44 with 245/40R17

work on 12' coupe v6? I don't really care for that 'hellaflush' look. just something functional.

They will fit but those front tires are really narrow and all 4 tires are a significantly smaller diameter than the stock tires so you'll get even more fender gap and you're speedometer will be off quite a bit. Not a good way to go IMO.

Why go with staggered 17's? Those are smaller than the stock wheels.

Just happened to pick up a set of work xd9 for dirt-cheap. but looks like I'll be using the spacers or maybe even just re-sell to pick up a set of Vossen.

he'll prob. say 'cause they're way too expensive for being cast wheels and that there are much better options at that price range, heh.

$2000 is hardly expensive for a good quality wheel with a warranty and really good customer service.

And if you are going to try to bring down a particular wheel, why not give examples and reasoning and speak up on what other manufacturers you think are better quality / price wise? And this is a legitimate question, not trying to argue.

As a previous owner of Vossen wheels, I have nothing but good things to say about them other than they are super common.

But seriously, I too wanna hear thegrouch's alternatives to vossens.
Hopefully ill be upgrading from my HFPs, to something in the vossen price range, & am all ears to hearing about all available options (although as of now, im leaning towards cv5s)

The biggest reason I got my Vossen's was because of the concavity of them. The 5 spoke design isn't anything new, and really neither is them being concave, but I couldn't find anything similar besides Stance SC5 that I like, but I figured might as well just go vossen.

If I wanted a forged wheel like Work's I would have purchased those since they do have some really nice stuff, but I had my heart set on these.
