01 Accord 2.3L P0172 Code Help Needed
I am interested in purchasing an 01 Accord but the scan tool indicated a P0172 Rich Bank 1 condition. The guide book indicated it could be a bad MAF sensor, injector, fuel regulator, or fuel in oil.
What should I do to diagnose the problem? Thanks,

Sorry can't do anything to help you, maybe check the injectors and see if one might be sticking? But why are you so interested in this one, why not walk away and go look for another one? Dime a dozen, these Accords

To diagnose you need a fuel pressure guage, a scan tool, somone to check to other codes... the combination of codes can help pinpoint which part is bad.
This wasn't flooded, was it? I think you may need to walk away from this one.....

The common demominator would be fuel pressure.... it's also listed as a hard start culprit.
here's the specs: Fuel pressure regulator Pressure with regulator vacuum hose disconnected 320-370 kPa (3.3-3.8 kgf/cm2, 47-54 psi) Here's how to replace the regulator: Place a shop towel under the fuel pressure regulator, then relieve fuel pressure. Disconnect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose. Remove two 6 mm retainer bolts (A) and the fuel pressure regulator (B). Apply clean engine oil to a new O-ring (C), and carefully install it into its proper position. Install the fuel pressure regulator and the 6 mm retainer bolts. Reconnect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for approximately 2 seconds, the fuel pressure in the fuel line rises. Repeat this 2 or 3 times, then check whether there is any fuel leakage.
