Are you talking about when unlocking the car the map lights turn on too? If so I would definitely like to see one.

Hmmm... I think my car does that already? I've never really paid attention, but I think both my dome light and map lights turn on when I unlock the vehicle.

Mine do.
As soon as i turn the car off, the map lights turn on. Extra annoying when I leave one on by accident the whole night. Thank god for LED lights.

I could not find a diy, but I would like to know how to do it.

Some of you said ur car has this feature already, that is because your car is not Lx or Lxp, which doesnt come with this feature.

I have a 08 lx-s coupe mine doesn't do that... I have led interior lights and I would like to see the maplights turn on too when unlocking the car.

LX LX-P and LX-s trims map lights don't turn on when you open the door. I'm not sure about the SE for the newer years but generally only EX/EX-L have this option.

I would be VERY interested in seeing a how-to posted for this mod. I've wanted to do this for quite some time.

Map Lights / Dome lights

From what I read on this thread, all you want is to have the door turn on both map lights for entry.

My 09' do that without a mod what so ever.

I would think the over-head wiring would not be different on the LX versions of Accords.

I guess that is another added benefit the EX models have.

Take a "fish" and send a wire from the doom light to the map lights

At the map lights, there is a three pin plug, missing one wire.. Add the wire to the open spot

The dome light has a two pin plug.. Connect the wire you added to the map lights to the pink wire

Lights still function when you push them on, but now they function as the dome light also. (when you unlock the car, turn the car off, etc)

simple

On the models with sunroof, you have the option of turning them on normally or opening the door. There is a second switch on the SR control Dome or off
