What tires are you all running? (not oem)
Im in the market for some new tires and I want to get an idea from the driveaccord peeps. I still have the stock 17's and do you like the amount of road noise? Thanks everyone

Bridgestone Potenza Serenity
Much quieter and longer lasting than OEM. The ride is smooth and luxurious. Replaced the worn out OEM (at 28k!!!) and never looked back since. Another great option is the Michelin Primacy at Costco. Only downside to that is limited store presence. If my tire blew out in the middle of no where, I'm kinda screwed. Make sure you buy tires from a store that has national presence. For this reason alone, Goodyear Comfortred at Walmart is a damn good alternative.

Toyo Proxes for the Accord and Toyo Versado's for the wife's Mazda 6. The proxes I bought are mostly just a regular tire while the Versado is more luxury. The Mazda is very smooth going down the road and little road noise.

Primacy in stock size replaced OEM Mich HX MXM4 at 68,000. All i can say is these tires (at 120,000+) measure 7/32 on my tread depth stick, and they are quiet, great in the rain and are rather pricey.
Other than that, no complaints.......... ez

i just got BFG sport comp 2. The handling and grip is so much better than the stock michelins. Not sure how it is in the rain since it never rains in CA. But no noticeable road noise.

I've heard complaints of traction with the MXV4's, any comments? Particularly wet, but I've read dry traction isn't the best.

We just had a couple days of torrential downpours here and I had zero traction problems. Ride is very nice and comfy and the noise level is good. Ill probably stick another set on there when these wear out in 70,000 miles. |

Dry, wet, snow and even on ice-no problems for me. Of course, you do have to be careful and be alert when entering turns and I drove VERY carefully on the ice, but my car has never felt like I was about to slip or loose control in any condition. Let's see what ezshift5 says when he see this post, as he runs on MXV4's also.
