Retrofit CCFL Question - 04 Honda Accord V6
Here's one for all of those who got the Angel Eyes via retrofit -
I was looking through all of the lenses and projectors and stuff and find a kit or two that did the angel eyes as an option...but it was just under $300. The CCFL's come in different sizes...is there a cheaper set up (through retrofit, not like ebay or anything) so I can have projectors and CCFL's? Which projectors do they fit? Do they fit all? Some of them ask if I want a clear lens with the projector...what does that mean? Don't projectors require a lens? I'd just like some info before I drop $300 and find it could have been half of that. Thanks!! Pants |

TRS is your best friend. I will only order all of my retrofit supplies from Matt, Andrew, and the rest of the boys. Their products are highest quality, prices are more than fair, shipping usually takes 2 days, and Matt is a genius when it comes to any and all retrofitting questions you may have. You can't beat their customer support. Give Matt a call.
Also, you can check out their forums (University section) for more information/reading material. HIDP Hope this helps! |

To the previous poster, yes everything about TRS is amazing.
I'm doing a CCFL (well actually LED) on my '12 Camry and a retrofit on my accord. The accord i'm using the mini h1 projector. |

Nice. You should really look into the FX-R 3.0's - they just about meet the expectations of the TL's
I'm currently running them, coming from Morimoto H1's and the difference is night and day! You can find my retro on HIDP under 03SXTGuy. If you don't feel comfortable retro'ing a harder projector, I would go with the Mini D2S as your choice on bulbs is far greater (I currently run $200 OEM Osram CBI 5,000K) and they are out of this world in performance. Also, keep in mind that a H1 bulb is designed for fog lamps and will not give you as good of light spread as a D2S/D2R. (I'm not talking projector width, but the actual spread of usable light. For instance, the H1 bulb will not illuminate street signs as well as an OEM based bulb. Many H1 users have complained about such matters, but it has to do with the design of the bulb)
